Since this morning Ben has been shivering almost trembling .. the frequency being say when he breaths in his body trmbles.

I used to think whippets were a little nervous and shaky but then we had Sidney who is not like that all.

So is it (do you think) Ben being a nervos or something else?

I am a little worried as he has been like this all day and last night he didn't sleep ... we had heavy rain so I am thinking may be kept him awake but he has been fine in the past 5 weeks he has been here and slept through some heavy gales etc.

He isn't cold as I have had the central heating on all day and so too his jumper.

He is eating and drinking as normal just this like shivering all the time.

Sorry for any typos, he is sat on my lap. :b

Yeah you could be right as last night it was raining heavy when the boys went out to do their thing before bed.

Both were rubbed down but he is only little.

Am ringing the vets as we speak to see what they say .... thanks :huggles:

When BB goes out in the cold she trembles like crazy. I have taken to putting her coat on even just for a two minute tiddle. She does tremble like you wouldn't believe when cold though. I'd check with the vet to be sure. BB is concerned to hear it!

Hiya,

The vet said he thinks he is fine (talked to him over the phone) said may be try an umbrella when it is raining and he is out for a tiddle and to keep his jumper on him...

And said to let him sleep on top of a warm hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket so it doesn't burn him and to see how he goes but he said to him it sounds as if he has had a bit of a fright or as said above caught a chill.

Because he is eating drinking and playing ok he isn't overly concerned.

Thanks everyone

Ben sends big jumpy cuddles and licks to his brother and sister (Stan & Bluebell) :huggles:

Oh dear :( This weather's no fun when you're an ickle whippie pup

I got Jinny & Ella a cotton lined raincoat each from Jo Keenan (Jok on K9). They're so quick to put on and take off and Jo makes them to measure so the fit will be perfect - with a bit of room to grow

My girls wear theirs whenever the weather is wet or windy - even if only for a minute or two :) Maybe now they're older they don't need them but it makes me feel better and keeps them dry!!!

:huggles: :huggles: for Ben - feel better soon, little fella

:huggles: aww poor little baby hope hes feeling better soon :huggles:
