Fab pictures Trish  How weird that the lens is working better now (w00t) 8)

What happened to Oliver's collar :- "

I still miss his spotty nose when you do close ups, I loved it

Stunning pics of stunning dogs   such great shots you take of them Trish, especially the one of Oliver on the blanket...just sooo cute

Lovely shots  Are you finding this lens works better than your old one Trish (all your action shots look good to me!). What is the success rate of your shots i.e. how many are sharper overall than before?

I know your new lens has the IS feature whereas your previous one didn't. Are you happy with it? Your photos look very good to me.

Wouldn't recommend taking photos in the rain. Digital cameras and rain definitely don't go well together. (w00t) Funny how you say it has improved the performance of your lens though

Fantastic pics Trish.  Love the one of Oliver on his blanket. :huggles: I'm just waiting for Christmas and my birthday (close to Christmas) so I can get myself a new lens. Though I'll be hard pushed to get as good shots as you do! ;)

fab pics trish , have they ragged those blankets around alot :D

this lens does work better than the old one,but saying that you also need a good camera body to keep up with it,ive got the canon 300D rebel which doesnt do the lens justice (its too slow),so my lovely hubby is going to treat me to a new 30D or might be able to push him to the 40D which is coming out in novemeber ive been told

at the moment im getting on average about 20 decent shots out of 100,but graham wouldnt agree with me on that one as he sees some as been good when i dont think they are so its all down to wanting better as im not easily satisfied ;)

im going to get a camera cover too as this british weather isnt always good on a sunday at racing :p

Thanks Trish. I've been waiting for your verdict on your new lens. I'm thinking about the same one too, and wanted your opinion first :- " :)

I've got the Canon 20D, which is starting to feel distinctly archaic with the advent of the 30D and now the 40D (w00t) . It's still a good camera though...I just hate the kit lens it came with. It definitely needs much better quality lenses to do it justice.

I hope my hubby is as generous for my birthday in November. I'm going to resort to leaving pics of lenses about the house :- "

Which lens is it, Trish? I know you've probably posted it somewhere before but it's easier just to ask you here! :- " I've got the Canon 400 (Digital Rebelxti).
