The dance of the duck

At 2 1/2 Tess is far to grown up to join in any silly games, but likes to be there to look beautiful while keeping a stern eye on proceedings

Josephine sticks her tounge out at Esme and Nana for not letting her join in their games

Esme says 'what's that Aunty Nana?'

Nana says 'I don't know, but I think it moved too fast even for us to catch'

Esme doesn't think anything is too fast for her and proves it by killing a very large furry bumble bee

Nana decided that it was too hot for any fast movement

But she did enjoy the evening sun

Esme shows that she can be a good girl sometimes and retrieve to me

But she'd still rather chew them

In fact even if a tennis ball isn't available she's still at her happiest chewing things as this poor rose bud found out

But it can be quite helpful when she joins in with the much needed weeding
