One whippet was WONDERFUL :)

Two whippets was PERFECT :D

Three was a bit worrying

Four put paid to my spare time

Five made sure I was a complete slave (w00t)

And Six????? .......... Have I really got SIX!!!!!!!!! - SIX MUST HAVE PUSHED ME OVER THE EDGE :sweating:

With hindsight, the happiest situation was with two

I found it a lot easier to go from one to two,

than two to three. Mainly because Sada is a

slightly calmer girl than Kaya. While Sada

wanted to mother Kaya, Kaya wants to run

riot with Zana :*

I was happiest when I had 4 whippets , now I only have 2 .

I don't think i'd go to four either Janis,

i don't want want the pleasure i get

from the girl's to become a chore, which

it might if i added more.

I've been up to 6 whippets, but now down to 5 after losing our old girlie a few weeks ago. I can't see any cons to having another if you only have one - in fact all pros. They do love each others company, and if you do have to leave them a bit longer on an odd occasion, you don't feel quite so bad if there are two of them together. It sounds to me like it would be an ideal time for you to get another whippet - Oh I have thought of a con - twice as much poop to scoop (w00t) but other than that, its a fantastic idea :huggles:

I have 4 and another coming once she's born! (w00t) (very understanding OH  )

My 1st girl is 3 and a half (georgia), she was lonely before the others.

Then I have spooks who is 12 months,Makayla who is 14months and Google who is 8 months.

I woudn't have it any other way! :D

The only bad thing I can say is,agreeing with June Jonigk, that with 4 its just more poop to scoop! (w00t)

Though to have my babies to live with :huggles: ........I don't regret it at all!

I must admit reading these comments i think i will stick to two whippets

I must own the one and only anti social whippet :( . Phoebe was 3 when we got Skye and she spent the first few weeks with a look of amazement and disgust on her face :b . Now that Skye is 9 months old and has quiet times they do get on better and will share a bed if I make sure one or other of them doesn't claim it and push the other out but there isn't any snuggling going on :( .

They do chase each other, play fight and they are company for each other when we are out but to be honest the jury is still out for me on whether one or two was better  . The rest of the family don't agree though and the kids want one each but being chief pooper scooper, feeder, walker, trainer, bed and collar buyer I am sticking at 2 :D .

Once Skye is older I'm sure they will get closer too and it is great watching them run together

Yes I do wonder about them feeling resentment about a new dog coming in and trying to take their toys and competing for the best seat in the house, owners affection etc. And its double the work, double the cost etc. How do you know what personality you should choose in the new dog and what sex? And what if they just dont get on

In saying all that I really do think whippets are addictive and I know if I won the lottery I would have a house full of them

Well ,Im back to double figures (w00t) but wouldnt have it any other way :huggles:

I'm wih Jax I'm not quite in double figures yet not with the whippets anyway although I am if you count the greyhounds and setter but I will be in double figure whippets in the next couple of weeks.
