Im no expert Trish, but Oscar had a similar one last year..I just kept it clean, put wound powder on to start for a few days then used cut and heal spray....

It has left a slight scar but its neat.

If you already havent done it Trish, trim the hair from around the wound, sally had a wound like this i cleaned with hibbiscrub, then wound powder, massage it into the wound :luck:

ive trimmed a bit of his fur today and he wasnt too happy about it poor luv :huggles:

hes also walking a little tentative as it must be pulling a bit,not such a good place to get a cut :(

If it was me Trish I'd get a stitch or two put in........... my vet does it without putting them out, over and done in seconds and heals a lot faster .

Cuddles from his first mummy :huggles:

think its not the place to get stitched as the movement when he walks pulls that area, but will keep a close eye on him and if need be will take him to be checked over.

thanks for the advice wendy :huggles:

Hi Trish,if it was me,i'd wash it a couple of times a day with saline & then put lavender oil into it! This will make it heal fast & will stop any infection getting in
