5 days ago Finn sustained a cut just above the metacarpal pad of his left forepaw. It's a full skin thickness cut about 1cm in length. He was taken to the vet for anti b's and I have been applying lavender oil to the wound. Vet wrap has been used to hold the edges of the wound together but it has not been possible/desirable for this to be in place 24/7. He was rested up for a couple of days and has been lightly lead walked since with the paw strapped. The wound has been washed through with saline after each walk. Thing is I would from past experience expect some sign of healing by now and it looks just as raw as it did 5 days ago. Just wondering if anyone has any useful suggestions re. accelerating the healing process.
