Oh My gosh Helen. I've just been catching up here and there since being out of the country. You really have had a rough time of it. I hope that's the end to your bad luck for a while. How' the car, how are YOU holding up? Josie looks like she's doing really well. What a difference a week or two make isn't it?

I feel like I've been through the wringer too, but nowhere near as bad as you. 2 of my girls got in a fight the week before we left and had to go into kennels with some nasty puncture wounds. We got home last Friday to find Teya had seriously dislocated a toe at the kennels that morning.... I was feeling very sorry for myelf till I read this thread and saw what you've been dealing wtih the last few weeks.

Big hugs!!

Wendy

Helen just been reading back through as as I did wonder how Josie was even on my holiday. Hope she is much better.

I hope she continues to improve daily. :huggles:

Aw, thanks, Janis :)

She is doing much better. The back leg is now just a white scar. We're down to twice-weekly visits to the vet for dressings on the front leg. She has a special moist dressing on called Granuflex, and the healing seems to happening from the edges of the wound (circular now) and moving inwards at a rate of about 0.5mm per day, which is apparently perfect

I took her out for her first walk in 3 weeks - just a short trot around the block. How hilarious! She was so excited. It was like walking Zeedee (w00t) Absolutely no lead skills whatsoever

She spends most of her time asleep (when Lola isn't leaping on her head asking for her to play!).

Yeah thanks for the update, really glad to hear she is getting there slowly :huggles:

SO glad that she's getting there :huggles:

So glad she is getting better day by day. What an awful injury she sustained. I hope I didn't come across as unsympathetic in my last post, it wasn't intentional.

 I have only just seen this thread - it must have happened when I was in Poland.

Poor, poor Josie, :( and what an absolutely terrible time you have been having Helen. I do hope Josie is on the mend now and that you have recovered from the car crash.

You really do need some good luck at the moment. :luck: :luck: :luck: Sending hugs to Josie. :huggles: :huggles:

aw, look at that tired little angelic face on Josie

glad she's making a good recovery.

Lola must be doing her best to be patient waiting for big sis to get well enough to play again o:)
