This is Ollie. A 11 week and day old yorkie cross. When Ollie grows up he is going to have a very important job other than just being a cute puppy! Ollie is going to be trained to be a assistance dog! {to those that donapost know an assistance dog is a dog that is trained to migrate their handlers disability} Ollie and handler have started very basic training and such inside of there home however as a working dog he will need to complete tasks and training in all sorts of places! He saved for Ollie for 3 years! and has spent all money on him - leaving only enough to keep a float and well. Ollie and handler have started going on training walks and practising his basic commands - however being a cute puppy handler gets stopped a lot and because of handlers autism makes it very hard to communicate that he is working/training! handler is in very much need of some gear for Ollie! Handler hate asking for money and feel very guilty doing so. Ollie is going to give handler back my independence and freedom - with gear they can both do this!
He will be a live saver for handler, and trained to assist handler with everyday tasks that I find very hard to do. Since getting Ollie handler had already started training him basics - however handler need to start taking him to pe friendly places/the public to get him used to being that situation! A lovely cause, @Violet Turner But at the moment, it looks as if the words are yours - are you getting an assistance dog in addition to Olive and Doris? If not, it would be worth editing your post

I actually feel a bit uncomfortable with requests for money on sites like this. Like many people, i donate to charities that I feel are important to me but on a forum I visit to share knowledge and experience, I am inclined to shy away from begging letters. Apart from everything else (like data security), how would we even know whether any donations were actually being used for the purpose they were being requested for?

@Josie is there maybe an issue here to introduce a rule that only registered charities can promote fundraising here?

A great cause @Violet Turner but as Joanne has mentioned I cannot allow fundraising on the forum.

there are several reasons for this.

I will look into updating the noticeboard with a clause about charity posts so it’s clear
