my dogs all went a bit mad when we first got Tess cos she acts funny and runs round in circles a lot,but they ignore her now theyre used to it. i had to laugh when they first saw her cos they kinda looked like this   and looked at me as if to say whats she doing mum? :D

how is she now Rae?settling down to life on 3 legs is she?any new piccies of her? :)

She's amazing Kris - she likes to be busy, she did all the walks yesterday and then buried some bones in the garden  She loves to be amongst whatever is going on, no idea of her size, or the fact she's missing a leg. Loves cuddling in with Holly and Star, as well as us, and her little tail is always wagging. It's a real pleasure to have her here

Her woud is healing up really well, the dermasol cream has done a fantastic job; the skinned leg is almost healed and the 'stump' is probably only a few days from having the staples removed.

She's also found her voice and soon lets us know if she wants something  She's just got such a fantastic attitude and character, someone will have lots of fun with her

We'll really miss her :( I'll get some photos of her today 8)

Just caught up with this thread, Poppy is LOVELY!

What a sweetie, she has me hook, line and sinker lol! If it wasn't for the fact that we aren't the right family for her (4 young whippets haring around!) I'd be asking to adopt her.

She has the coolest personality, is really determined to just carry on regardless, and is a tiny bundle of fun

I managed to get a couple of pic of her, hope you don't mind me putting them on Rae? Well to be honest, it might be Gary that minds (w00t) 8) :- "

It's easier for her to get along without the buster collar so I take it off when she's on a walk. Gary picks her up (see above!) if the other dogs are going wild. I love that picture of them both

Anyway, here she is enjoying being out in the sun:

she looks loverly :luck: in finding her a new forever home or not f thats the case (w00t)

Well.......she has found a new home........my Sister has been to see her almost every day since we got her and despite her best efforts not to, as she really wanted a labrador.... (w00t) has fallen in love and is taking her home tonight. We only live 6 miles apart so we'll see lots of Poppy (who will be called Gizmo poor little love) and we will have her on a Wednesay and Friday when Debbie works, so she'll get all the one to one attention she can handle at her new home and then can come here to mix with other dogs and get a bit more affection 2 days a week. So far she has 2 new beds, 2 new fleeces and a collar and lead and assorted toys, and she's not even got her yet!

I'm so pleased as it have been impossible to let her go to a new home and not get little tiny kisses anymore. She's also been a good little pal for Holly who is a bit lost since we Tie died 3 weeks ago :(

She's a busy little person, has had a walk this morning and is still burying bones and sniffing about in the garden now (w00t)
