Well as you know we had a mysterious snout swelling which seemed to caused by a bang on the nose, which after a jab from the vet went down and all was normal, until today now she has swelling again but this time seems to be accompanied by lumps which look like blisters which are bleeding  she was fine last night and have just appereared today I have been with her the whole time so I know she hasn't banged herself, in fact she hasn't moved from the settee for much of the morning.

Poor callie I do feel sorry for her because it looks really sore :(

So we're off to the vets again this afternoon, I suppose one consolation is that it has happened now and not on christmas day (w00t)

How worrying and frustrating for you both. Let us know how she gets on. Hope it sorts itself out soon :luck:

Lesley,it sounds very similar to the allergy that Murphy had a few months ago......does it look like this?

I never did discover what caused this with Murph ,but like Callie,it came back again after a few days :(

Think i used a bit of diluted lavender on it,& then some wonderful herbal antiseptic cream that i got from Rachel(sunny),it healed pretty quickly

It does Debs very much so but on both sides what was it an allergy to

hope she's feeling better soon Lesley.

(I think she's pineing for something :- " )

 we must have been posting at the same time, do you think i should treat it myself then and is there anything else antiseptic wise as I need it now really if so, I have vetinary antiseptic powder

I never did find out,it came up after he's been out in the garden first thing!

I got to following him about to see what he was rooting around in,& even stopped him sticking his nose in anything, but it still came back :(

I didn't take him to the vets, they would probably have wanted to give him steroids (w00t) ,but like i said, the lavender & cream from Rachel worked brilliantly

Edited to say,it wasn't the herbal cream from Rachel,it was on Rachel's advice that i used Propolis cream (you can get this from any health shop) and i gave him piriton!

Here's the link to the post i put up at the time!

I'm just off to school I'll put a pic on when I get back

Oh ouch. It sounds like what Deb's Murphy had.

A couple of mine had some nasty burns from plant sap a month or so ago. One of them Whizz had it on his leg for over a week and it was quite deep.

I hope that you can get it sorted out soon.

Aww poor Callie :(

What a mystery hope you find out what it is and she feels better soon :huggles:

A few weeks ago i took Evie to the park and we were playing with the frizby, i went to pick it up out of the grass and thought i had got a nettle sting (even though i couldn't see any nettles ) didn't think any more of it, but when i got up in the morning it looked very similar to Murphys rash but with septic bits as well. It was very sore i put neat lavender oil on and by teatime it had nearly gone. Strange.

Poor Callie :( Hope that you find out what is causing it soon :luck:
