How's Callie this morning Lesley any improvement ?

Julie

It doesn't look quite as angry this morning Julie, although she doesn't like the oitment, she slept with us last night because I didn't want the girls licking it, they are so helpful you know I put the gel on the lick it off  that was my first question to the vet is it poisonous to other dogs

Anyway He said that the fur should grow back but it might take a while :( and hopefully the ab's should kick in in a couple of days properly she is milking the added attention obviously in true whippet fashion. :huggles:

The hardest thing is telling Spry that she can't jump allover her (w00t)

You must be so relieved it's beginning to improve.

Wishing Callie a speedy recovery :huggles:

Thanks Mandy, I am :sweating: it just looks to sore now like the fur has been peeled off in 2 round patches on her snout, the trouble is it came up so quickly so it couldn't have been prevented but I am hoping it will get better quickly, she is trying to rub her face against things because it must be irritating her, one consolation is that I have finished work for xmas so I can keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't rub it

I'm so pleased it's nothing worse - bad enough as it is! :( Poor girl. :huggles: She's still beautiful even with pus and sores. :D

Hope she feels better soon.

Thanks Hilary I'll tell her that, she's probably feeling pretty conscious at the moment with her being such a pretty girl :*

Glad there is a bit of improvement it must be uncomfortable for her :(

She's still a pretty girlie, sending lots of :huggles: :huggles: :huggles: to Callie

Julie

Oh Lesley I missed this post. I'm so glad Callie is on the mend, the poor beautiful girl is probably worried sick about her looks. She needn't worry too much though, cos she's gorgeous no matter what.

Tascha and Mysti send big whippety kisses and licks to speed her recovery.

Come on Lesley I think we are due an update on Callie :- "

Julie

Well she's ok in herself Julie although her muzzle looks awful because it looks so raw and red, I'm hoping the Ab's kick in soon because it's annoying her and she keeps trying to rub them, even on me  I'm trying my best to stop her but she does it so quickly that she's making them bleed :(

She's still not impressed with the gel but I keep putting it on, it's just a matter of time I think

Poor Callie hope the AB's kick in soon and she stops feeling uncomfortable.

Give her a big :huggles: from me.

Julie

:huggles: hugs to Callie and best wishes for a speedy recovery.. and of course a quick return to her usual beautiful form  :huggles:

I don't blame her - it's probably itchy as all heck! Think what it's like when you get a burn and it starts to heal - VERY itchy. I suspect this is very much the same.

Poor baby!

Would it be worth (much as I HATE the darned things) getting her an Elizabethan collar so she can't rub it?

Wendy

I know what you mean wendy about the collars, would probably drive her nust but if it helps her to heal I might have to, I'm going to see how she goes it seems to be drying up a little which I think is a good sign, not at raw, so hopefully the ab's might be kicking in now fingers crossed
