Badger came to play today.

Image00068.jpg

Nana was in love- someone else who wants to play and play and play, and she now says she's like to have a Badger to keep please.

Introductions

Image00001.jpg

At first there was a mad whippet only run

Image00002.jpg

Then Badger had to take stock and look handsome for a while

Image00004.jpg

Image00005.jpg

Then Nana pounced, and the game was on.

Image00006.jpg

Image00007.jpg

Image00008.jpg

Image00009.jpg

Image00009.jpg

Then a pause to get their breath back

Image00011.jpg

And a lesson in getting under gates

Image00012.jpg

Image00013.jpg

While the lesson was going on Esme, the ultimate talent at getting under gates was very busy elsewhere. We have a little metal bucket in the field and we could prise her nose away from it, so we decided to lift it up to see whether there was anything there. There was- rather a large fat mouse. Esme pounced and ran with her prize, with Badger in quick pursuit.

Image00014.jpg

Image00015.jpg

Then PANIC she dropped it

Image00016.jpg

But not to worry, Josie got it.

Image00017.jpg

But Josie does not believe in playing with food and in several gulps it was gone.

Poor Esme, after all it was her catch

Image00019.jpg

So she went back to see if there might be another one.

sounds like you all had a good day

Great photos as usual olivia :D

Nice seeing all the dogs having fun n games

SO then began the great mouse hunt.

Were there anymore in the garden?

Image00025.jpg

Not in the lords and ladies

Image00020.jpg

Not in the compost heap

Image00021-1.jpg

Image00022.jpg

And not in these lords and ladies

Image00023.jpg

In fact no where. So, what else to do- why more racing of course.

Image00024.jpg

Image00026.jpg

Image00027.jpg

Image00028.jpg

Image00030.jpg

Image00031.jpg

And of course if there was running Nana had to be part of it.

Image00029.jpg

Image00032.jpg

Image00034.jpg

Image00038.jpg

Image00039.jpg

Gotcha

Image00040.jpg

But Josie got in the way and the Badger escaped

Image00041.jpg

So on the chase went

Image00042.jpg

Image00043.jpg

And another catch

Image00044.jpg

But this time Esme gets in the way

Image00049.jpg

After another little break Nana and Bagder discuss the rules for another race

Image00050.jpg

Badger has a little head start

Image00063.jpg

Image00064.jpg

Image00065.jpg

Image00066.jpg
