The dog CC is nice for a puppy. It does not say much for a older more "mature" in the line up. I would of said surely there was a more finnished male than that.

& while I am haveing a spit here. The only time you can put Australia & New Zullund in the same sentence is " & yet again, the Australian team has beaten the New Zullunders".

England is only one of the Kingdoms that make up the 'United Kingdom' of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.  The others are Scotland and Wales.
Technically there is no such thing as an English Champion as our Kennel Club covers the whole of the UK
How come they're not known as UK Champions then?

Shouldn't someone enlighten the ANKC? All dogs from the UK who have their Championship title are known in Australia as "English" Champions, eg Dondelayo Statue, Nevedith Rare Rogue etc etc

What is the full name of the Kennel Club? Is it the English Kennel Club, The Great Britain Kennel Club or the UK Kennel Club?

And does the title "Irish Champion" therefore not include Northern Ireland, as it is part of the UK?

If there's no difference then what's with you????? o:)
Thanks Vanna. There is nothing with me all our dogs are registered with "The Kennel Club" covering all the of the United Kingdom.

:D Some more photos taken at Border Union.........

Dessie with Bertha at her first show.......

this ones for Lyd, nice rear movement

and another of Dessie and Bertha

The DCC looks even more puppish in the photo Milliee. Needs to even grow into his head. Of the photos posted I guess the Lowglen dog looks the best, to me anyway.

I think Edith always looks for a more elegant dog than the rest of her family, she doesnt like too much power or too wide in front/behind, no wide skull or bulky shoulders. IMHO she is one judge who follows the standard more closely.

Dessie did you come through those heavy showers on the way home (w00t) :sweating:

Any dog made up to Champion here just becomes an ordinary boring Champion whatever of where ever no more no less :)

This topic has gone quiet whats up? Nice to see the pictures.

Bit of a contradiction really- when they come to Aust they are Eng Ch. if titled and papers are marked Imp UK. Doesn't really matter(to an aussie- perhaps to a scot it might matter LOL) but just an interesting observation.

Wonder why the difference?

Going to put my head on the chopping block here- but am a long way from the action so will hopefully be safe- I know pics can lie- but some of the dogs are a little disappointing aren't they?

There are some factors to remember. 1, could be entry was down. 2, & mostly related to 1. The Judge. At the end of the day, the judge can only put up what they have entered under them. :teehee:

But then again, we have only a certain amount of judges that as exhibitors that we "would" enter under. :- "

All things being equal, & now I put my head on the block. Did she do a better job than Jack Pedden?? :- "
