She was not trying to be antagonistic, which you, by your first retort, appeared to think she was.

WOW who's being antagonistic?
My apologies then Martine - I have read you wrongly. Please note I did say you appeared to think Whipowill was being smart. It did appear that way to me - but as I've said before (because I have also been taken the wrong way) without tone of voice it is easy to misread someone's intent from the written word. So I am very sorry - I hope you will accept my apology.

Someone stood next to me at one of the classes and said of the winner 'Why has she put that up, hes nothing like the rest'
The class was small and he was the best dog in it regardless of type.  I dont think people think enough when they watch others judging, they to often make assumptions on personal results.
Can I be so bold as to assume that the person who made the comment wasn't a judge themselves?
Quite right, not judging yet :D

Of course I will :D

(I suppose things do get a bit confusing when one of us is writing/reading upside down) :teehee:

Most of the dogs looked a bit poor because the wind was so cold and showers frequent.

But well done to all.  Lyds dog looked nice, one of the better movers, perhaps he didnt mind the cold :sweating:
Agree with you Karen, it was bitterly cold stood in that ring, dogs and handlers were both suffering. It definitely affected their movement,I was surprised how badly some dogs moved, when I have seen them move better at other shows.

Thanks for saying my dog moved well, but was it mine or one of Bj's ? I handled 2 for Bj,one in puppy, one in limit and mine in open.Because it was so cold and we were under canvas I didn't show Blob. She wouldn't have shown at all in the conditions we were presented with,so we had to go and find something yummy to eat instead. :D (w00t)

:D   Some more photos taken at Border Union.........
Someone asked who the pics were of,well the first pic after the ticket winners, brindle dog with white trim is Gregory, one of Leigh Morris's dogs.I thought he showed well and moved very soundly.

The black with me in the ring is Guy,don't suppose you've got one of Bean have you Millie ? If you have I'd love to see it,as long as it is a pic of the dog minus me (w00t) .

Lyd

:D Sorry Lyd........ no pic of bean ....... it was to cold to stand taking many pics.

Tell me about it,I had to buy another sweatshirt to cope with it.Oh well, it is huge (the sweatshirt),so I could always go camping in it or something.

Gregory is a sweetie isn't he Lana,I like him a lot as well.I didn't recognise the others, apart from Bertha. The pic of Dessie by the table with her, reminds me of her expression when I'm scrounging chips....... o:)

:D Sorry Lana, missed you asking the question  not that I could have told you much as I didn't have a catologue and just snapped a few pics of the dogs in the male challenge apart from Leighs dog who i took from his class, we stayed with Leigh and I thought he looked lovely.

The big Fawn boy with white trim is Tazi Falcon at Limasfault.

The next one, brindle white trim is Lowglen Special reserve. He won Limit.

Had to post this separate because inbetween looking and posting I forgot who the picture was

Michlea Magnum won postgrad.

Thanks guys! I haven't heard of the Michlea kennel name before. What lines do they breed on?

They had two dogs entered one by an Oakbark dog and one by a Peperone but more than that I dont know. They are in Scotland so perhaps someone from up that way can help.

Michlea have bred two litters from a dog they bought in. The dam is Dollygroves Classy Chassey of Michlea and the sires were Ch Pepperone Playoff and Oakbark Marathon Gold at Pepperone. :)
