Thank you Hannah et al, had a lovely day racing and trialling and it was really lovely to meet some of the other K9'ers that I have read so much about and see the new puppies of course! - my how Kaos has grown - what a sweetie

Glad that the snow cleared and left a perfect running track, thanks to my many helpers today (esp June ;) ) and for Hannah and June & Steve who allowed their dogs to run with Tyler.

Looking forward to next Boxing day already!!! and hopefully Judy will have some action shots to put on here.

Yes i would love to see some photos if you have any

Thanks for the lovely day, I have just about thawed out now!

My photos aren't very good as it is hard to take pictures with a whippet pulling you all over the place.

First.

Archie and Star are in love, it's official!

To day was a real eye opener for me, the pace of some of the dogs was awesome, but in the same breath the obvious enjoyment by both owners and of course the K9s was great to observe, a real pleasure.

The "Blues Brothers" slept all the way to Hereford, they enjoyed excellent company throughout the day, a short trail was available with "Max" showing limited attention to the lure, with a 3 m canter !! "Blue" shyed away from the lure, yet hes the dog that goes berserk chasing a rabbit skin, around my garden.

Thank you to Steve and June for showing the route to the event, Adrian for a decent chat , the compliments towards the Blues from everyone they met, and the dogs they sniffed !!

Cold feet yes, but a very warm welcome from everyone.

Mike,Max & Blue

Rae, Adrian, Helen, Claudia, Mike from Hereford, and Hannah!

Star, Archie, Leah, and Josie are very interested in the gorgeous Kaos!

Only just back from the pub Hannah!

Great day, really good fun! Archie has only just roused his back-side off of the sofa. He sooooooooooooooo loved that lure, and Star

I forgot to say lovely to meet Darcia and Mike and Rae who are new faces from K9 for me. Whippet people are splendid folk!

:D Looks like you all had a brilliant day out - wish Id lived a bit closer it would have been great to let oscar meet all the other dogs and meet K9 ers, too

Anyway OH and I went for long walk with Oscar today - it was very fresh outside so hope you were all wrapped up well . Great seeing the pictures everyone, end to see you were all enjoying yourselves. 8)

Brilliant photos, Jo and Mike. Wish I'd remembered my camera too (then I wouldn't be in the photos because I'd have been taking them, and can I just say I'm NOT pregnant even though I look like I'm six months gone in that coat   )

We had an absolutely fab day, can't wait until next time. It was lovely to meet everyone and brilliant to say "Hello" to K9-ers I hadn't met before. The weather was great, the food and hospitality excellent, the raffle prizes definitely worth having, Josie ran after the lure like she was born to do it... and the best bit for me was that I learned an awful lot about Yugio (sp??) cards and got invited to the pub by my youngest suitor yet - just how old IS Ben, Hannah?? He certainly has a way with the ladies!!

Thank you to everyone at South Cotswolds for a lovely Boxing Day.

Helen x

We had a great time too - thanks to all at South Cotswolds once again, for a great Boxing Day meet. The ground turned out to be perfect - except the whippet bathing when we got home!!

Nice to meet all the K9ers, and yes Helena, Josie was a star!

Good to see all the new pups, and budding stars. Tyler was a treasure (except when I couldn't catch him!!). You helped us when we had pups Darcia, so we were glad to help you out too.

I don't know when the first open will be, but probably see most of you there. I think the Whippet rescue open will be on at Easter - has anyone heard whether it is on yet? I expect it will be at Weyhill, as it's been successful there these last couple of years.

Oh well, Happy New Year to you all.

OH NO!! it looked such a good day for everyone and we missed it :(

I've been hobbleing around with a bad leg for about a fortnight now with no real excuse as to why :(

This morning it was so bad Helen made me go to casualty  and I've broken my leg without even knowing it (w00t) so I'm in plaster from just above my knee

So its been an interesting holiday

Cheers

Steve

Thanks for a great day. We had good weather, I think everyone enjoyed the racing and trialing and the food was first class (especially the Mediterranean bake ;) ). Congratulations to all those who helped put on such a good day.

We obviously had a good day with Trouble coming away with the Balllyheeda Trophy. In 1993 our Time Finder won the same trophy, which I think was the first trophy he won, so it will be good to see both their names on it.

It was nice to put faces to K9 names - Rae, Helena, Mike from Hereford and good to see Joanna and Archie back again. Archie ran like a real pro and all the trialing dogs put on a good show. Sorry you didn't make it Jones. Sounds like you did the right thing though - next year may be.

Judy will probably post some more photos later on today. I think she got a few of the dogs running.

Helen, you asked how old is Benjamin - about 30 I think :D - still at least the rest of us got a quiet day ;)

We had a fantastic time, thanks so much to Hannah & Chris, and ofcourse everyone else for making us so welcome and holding my badly behaved bunch so that I could do the trials.

Star picked it up on her second trial and I was so pleased with her, but I think she is a bit slow compared to the other whippes - nevermind it's just a bit of fun (w00t) :- " Leia, who I thought would be fantastic was useless, and showed little interest in the lure until the very end of her third go.

They were absolutely shattered, and slept all of last night, which is a first.

Star sends a big kiss to Archie  and Vader says sorry for being a bit grumbly :( I love the picture of Star & Archie , the angle you have taken it at Jo makes Star look small - well done! :D :p

It was great to meet other K9'ers and oggle at puppies  I even got a kiss from little Kaos. And little Tyler    how cute is he?

It's not the angle Rae, it's being stood next to my chunky hound! She is small compared to the glutinous lump! (w00t)
