Hi everyone. Can I just tell you about my Bramble? She was at the vets yesterday to be spayed. All went well and we picked her up mid aft. She wouldn't settle when she came home and despite the pain killers etc, she was wimpering and seemed in pain. We called the vet in the evening and she was given more pain killer. I sat up with her all night and she didn't sleep. She is though much better today and is eating, so we are pleased. I know she is a bit of a wimp, you know what I mean, like a lot of females, low pain threshold etc (w00t) (w00t) .

Here are some pics from yesterday when she came home

Poor Bramble :( - it is a big operation, and she obviously was in some pain :( - in my past life as a vet nurse - the gentler the vet, the less pain the animal is in after surgery as there is less bruising - glad she is feeling a bit better today :huggles: - try arnica caplets for the bruising, they really help  :luck:

Poor little Bramble :huggles: hope you feel better soon sweetheart :huggles:

Hope Bramble is feeling better really soon :huggles: :huggles:

Lots of hugs for Bramble from the Spryers :huggles: :huggles: Spry says it's ok to be a wimp cos she is too :*

So glad she's perking up a bit today, lots of loving wishes for a speedy recovery :huggles: :luck: :luck:

best wishes here from your little stick of dynamite mate blue and all the rest of the crew here xx

thinking of you and diane too lampy x  :huggles:

get well soon bramble..

How nice of you all to send Bramble such good wishes. Thank you so much :) . Another minor crisis occurred yesterday afternoon when the little darling ate all her pain killers  Thankfully there was only 4 tablets that the vet gave us on Friday night to use over the weekend should it become necessary. Diane spoke with the vet(I was out) who didn't think that she should have a problem as they were not aspecially strong :sweating: . Anyway folks it was just another example of if it is possible to go wrong ,then it will where Bramble is concerned (w00t)

Thanks again

LAMPY

So sorry to hear Bramble is poorly after her op. :( Sounds like she is slowly on the mend though. Hope she get back to her usual cheeky self soon. :huggles: :huggles:

Any more news on how Bramble is feeling now? Better I hope :luck:

Sorry Lampy (Don't know how I missed this thread :b )

I hope Bramble is feeling better too :huggles: I am sure she is though, it never ceases to amaze me how animals recover so much quicker than us humans :D

Looks like she's on the mend lampy o:) I think she just felt a bit of pain and thought she'd save you a job 8)

Hope its all up hill from here :huggles:

Hope poor Bramble is feeling a bit better today, she looks so forlorn in those photos :( please let us know how she is doing poor girl.

Get Well Bramble. :luck:

Hello everyone. Just thought I would update you about Bramble. :D Its now over 4 weeks since she was spayed and I can say that she is a different dog. Having been bothered by a phantom pregnancy she was also very lethargic and intolerant towards her friend Annie(cocker). :( Now though, she is friendly to all, keen to play and a real joy to have around. I can only hope that she can begin to show her full potential from March when she resumes racing . :* This is a pic of her cuddled up to Annie, best of friends now

Best wishes LAMPY

Lovely picture Lampy

Good luck with Bramble :luck: :luck:
