YUP THEY WERE ADVERTISED UNDER A BLOODY HORRENDOUS TITLE "BREEDING PAIR OF WHIPPETS".... thats an awful thing to consider these dogs as, but how many of you have a bitch and a dog of a type.. and have bred them..and sold the resulting litter ?

so what was the actual "crime" here...? the advert...? the intent to breed them ...?

hope now that the person who has them has the little bitch speyed then.

john

they are gorgeous Lesley   ,they will get a good loving home they deserved :huggles: :huggles:

Well done everyone  :D

Stormydog - the problem is here that by adverising them as a 'breeding pair' any half-wit would think I could make a bit of cash here - work out that pups go for £400 odd a pop and these poor little blighters (esp the bitch) would be bred from continuously and unscrupulously. Not much of a life...

and how many of the 'pups' would be sold to anyone with no checks and then.... problably end up in resuces etc etc :(

This person has other breeds for sale.

So draw what conclusions you will from that!

These two deserve a loving forever home together if possible and I am sure would make someone lovely pets.

They look very attatched to each other

No crime just not an ideal way to sell/rehome whippets the title infers that these dogs are proven puppy makers which to some is exactley what they would end up as.

They are not in a bad way or mis treated just unwanted which initself is as bad IMO,

The person selling them has been paid so she will be happy the dogs will get a home where they are loved and wanted so they will be happy a good thing all round.

All I could think of was one of my girls being used for a breeding machine, it upset me just thinking about it

My smilies don't work

Well Done to everyone involved in safeguarding their future, they look so nice and are so young, they have so much living to do as single whippets without being labelled as a breeding pair.

Jenny

Sorry to have sounded so harsh in my last post but the fact they were advertised as a "breeding pair" (is this not what u advetise birds as?) really upset me. As has been said before if they had got into the wrong hands this poor little bitch could have been used as a breeding machine.

Well done Lesley!!!

Lets hope we can keep them together and they both have long and happy lives with someone who will love and take care of them.

WELL DONE SPRYERS!! What a girl you are Lesley (w00t) .Beautiful dogs. I couldn't get rid of them I wonder if you will???

Well done. Best of luck with them whether you keep or rehome :huggles:

LAMPY

Yes thats right Helen and I've found the softwareCD now so I'll get some good pics :D

Definatley just fostering Lampy 4 is enough :sweating: although whoever does give them a home will be really lucky because even after just a short time I think they will make lovely pets, they have very good temperaments and have settled in with mine and met some new people, they are very sociable and friendly, they are very cuddly with each other but don't mind cuddling up to the others even Sienna is tolerating them so they must be ok  :* (w00t)
