took Oto and Frankie to ringcraft last night leaving Owen, Otis, Rosa and Ginni at home with my cousin who's stopping with us,

my cousin went to bed leaving 2 big bars of dark chocolate and raisin on the arm of the chair

i got back home about 11.30 and noticed otis looked like he had mud on his legs... on closer inspection it was obviously chocolate, i went looking for evidence and found the two empty wrappers in their beds, Otis was quite lethargic and quiet, Owen was hyper and climbing the walls, and the 2 girl just looked guilty

so i phoned the emergency vets and whisked the lot of them straight round to the surgery, he duly gave them injections to make them vomit,

(sorry bout this graphic bit)

ginni started :x first , just as it started chiming midnight, mainly dog food with bits of choclotate foil and only a couple of currants.... so we knew she was ok.

Rosa was next :x just dog food nothing else.... good old girl, as if i could ever doubt her honesty not to nick things :))

Owen was next :x (on my shoes :x :x ) the bulk was food, but a lot darker with plenty of raisins :(

then it was Otis's turn..... producing just pure chocolate, he was getting really wobbly and unsteady by now :(

the two girls came home with me and the boys stayed in to be put on drips and have charcoal poured into them every few hours, i've talked to the vets today, owen is a lot brighter this morning and should be fine but can't come home till he is off his drip tommorrow, Otis..well we will just have to wait and see :(

he's a tough little nut so here's hoping Tissy kissy will be ok to :luck: :luck: :luck:

heres hoping all is well :luck: :luck: :luck:

i have heard before that it is very bad for dogs to eat chocolate but didnt realise that it was this bad  what is the reason that choc is so bad then.would it actually have killed the dog that ate a lot of it then without the vets intervention.

OMG :luck: :luck: to both the boys

OMG how worrying for you Becka :( :( - and a combination of dark chocolate AND raisins can't have been good at all :( - thank goodness you knew how dangerous it was and had the sense to phone the vet straight away
