It's the theobromine in the cholocate. Milk chocolate isn't too bad. The darker the chocolate the more theobromine and the more dangerous it is, and yes it can and does kill dogs.jas328sport said:i have heard before that it is very bad for dogs to eat chocolate but didnt realise that it was this bad :blink: what is the reason that choc is so bad then.would it actually have killed the dog that ate a lot of it then without the vets intervention.
