During the 10 days we will have something for everyone….a football match for racers, so can someone get organised on who is willing to have a bit of fun and play (probably around Friday lunchtime) I have a man of the match trophy.

We will have skittles, pool, bingo, and quizzes most nights if you are interested, with a fishing competition on Tues and Thurs 10—2.00pm, Fishing licence required, £5 payable to the fishery and £1 entry fee, 100% payout with trophies for heaviest overall catch (need a keep net) & a trophy for the heaviest single fish, bring your own packed lunch, please note; no poles allowed. We had hoped we could arrange transfers from the various sites to the Football Club, but this has fallen through due to the hefty insurance….Food will also be provided at night at a reasonable rate on the nights concerned. A Karaoke/Disco will also be provided Friday night (June 12th) in the Football Club, I hope you can make it, as we have had to cover the cost of this. On Saturday night, sadly the Football club have a football presentation which may last until 8.o clock, but we are welcome to use the room afterwards, music, skittles, pool etc, if not then the town has plenty of pubs for the evenings entertainment. The presentation will either be held after racing or later that evening, depending on what the racers require, if most are going home, then it may be better after racing, I am happy to go along with what the majority want.

Our thanks also extend to Geoff & Hazel who are running two opens for you on Wednesday & Sunday, with the BWRA staging the IBM/Grasscutter the following Saturday. I’d like to thank all at Devon & Somerset Wrc for hosting this event, and to Geoff & Hazel for all their hard work leading up to and during the holiday... this marathon racing event promises to be a great spectacular with racing to suit everyone & all sizes throughout the 10 days…..I hope you can support us, as usual there’s been a lot of hard work behind the scenes in preparation for our/your arrival for which we are all very grateful. Good luck to you all!!

Have gave Jim Leitch the 2nd chance trophy as I wont be coming down

Valerie

Is the football on the Friday before the Derby or before the IBM grasscutter weekend?

Thanks, looking forward to this

The football is the Friday before the IBM weekend.

Anthony are you going to sort out any transfers/signing on for each team beforehand, would be players with injuries need to get treatment ASAP? What should the teams be, north against south, old against young, or like when we were at school, everyone standing in a line, with the two captains picking out a team player, one by one, until the one's no one want are left.....I wonder who that would be?????

Anyone up for being picked, I know John Noble did well in Scotland, all those years ago, what about it John, I think you may have been in goal????? I know the whippet racers played a proper fit football team, who else played on that team?
