What a morning Not long out of the vets, Thankfully both Murphy my pup Whippet & Poppy my Border okay.
Went for a walk with the dogs in some fields close to where I live, I always try to be vigilant due to the amount of pitball types I often see in this area, Today I let my guard down to take some photos with my new camera, when I heard some woman screaming at her dog, when I looked up, poor Murphy had been ploughed into by this big bull x lurcher with a sickening thud then grabbed hold Murphy,, lucky enough by his dog coat and shook him, as I ran to Murphy, Poppy jumped out of some hedges and made a beeline for the lurcher, Poppy who is normally a friendly dog, through herself at this dog, the dog then started attacking Poppy, when I got to her the dog was holding onto Poppy from the back of her neck pinning her down and wouldnt let go, the woman was making matters worse screaming and whipping her B...DY dog and me , found out later this dog should have been muzzled and was a dog killer  Some bloke out jogging came over to help, to be honest I ended up having to choke it off with its lead, after all my other attempts failed, Poor Poppy by this time was quite limp and not able to stand, Murphy was sitting a little away from me panting and obviously shaken. Myself and this bloke carried both dogs to my home, thats after I got this womans address.
Took both dogs the vets Murphys seems to be fine,Poppy has a couple wounds to her neck, cleaned the wounds out gave her a injection and some antibiotics.
I will calling at this womans house tonight and having words with her, why it was off the lead? why didnt have a muzzle on ? when obviously she had no control over it  I wll also put in a complaint to the local police.
