Well what can I say!

This meeting was arranged to try and raise a few quid to helps some genuine lads raise a few quide to help the Macmillan Cancer Charity.

as always whippet owners from all over the UK came out and supported this worthy event, sorry to those few who didnt make it into the 16 dog stake.

Festivities started on Friday night at around 7.30 when we all decended onto the pub, the landlord had arranged a pier and pes supper for everyone attending and appoximatly 80 people came along, the landlord also booked a live band for us who despite the oldest band member probably only being 19 they played stuff from the 70/80's all night ie: Beatles, The Jam ect ect a realy talented group of lads.

most of us left the pub at around midnight due to having an early start this morning but some then decended on Sean & Shonas camper till well after 2am  althoiugh some of us old farts as I was refered to by Pennymeadow decided to retire to our beds on arriving home from the pub.

so bright and early this morning Aaron was banging on my caravan door to get the judges tower/lure ect set up.

the weather at the start of the day could of been a little kinder to use and we suffered high winds/rain/hail/sleet ect but thank fully this soon past and developed into a lovely day.

we saw some great runs today and some realy competitive lure coursing on show, several dogs impressed today but non more so than the eventual winner who ran her heart out all day to after finishing the bridesmaid at the last lure coursing meeting went one better today and took top houners for her owners.

High Jinx took the well derved win in the Main Final for her owners Shaun & Shona Walsh from Scotland. (WELL DONE YOU TWO)

The Winner of the Purse was Mr P Hawkins Penny Pictures (Well done Patrick)

The Winner of the Plate was Arjuna Joe Bloggs (Well Done Debs & Larry)

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise todays meeting and to everyone who helped support it in what ever way you helped.
