  sooo glad im not the only one

Its funny because I hate coloured leads...   :- " I have 3 strong leather ones,....and prefer leather collars when they are older of course... but each to their own... I tend to stick with blue and black and tan.

All my boys have black coats now..although I have a couple of spares...a blue and a red one...

well i was thinking, to get a couple really goo leads in black and maybe blue and then they would go with almost anything then i can spend a fortune on fancy collars its just deciding who gets what and when like nicky and Louise said "Except in my case it takes 20mins to decide what they are wearing before we go walking" (w00t)

of course girlies are different, its years since I had a bitch, but then the collars wernt like today in pink and diamonte...and suchlike :- "

we had a plain tan fishtail...just the one...

i purchased so many collars for talulla that when bean arrived she just wore one of the many.....

it was only a few weeks ago that bean had her first collar purchased just for her.....

any one with an older sister will understand poor old bean having to wear talullas hand-me-downs (w00t)

it helps that they are the same colour x

i have seen heaps of collars for mabel when she is fully grown- just need to decide which few to buy first!

do not bother to buy masses for your sweet girls now - they will grow out of them so quickly - unless you plan on having more whippy pups :- "

i say buy the collars that you like and worry about who will wear them when they arrive.

i do like matching coats though.

i think im lucky in a way as i can make most of my collars coats excet but still have to buy cause somethings i cant make or get same trim or fabric :D

I cant wait to start buying loads of things for our pup!

Already bought a purple collar and lead, now need a purple puppy coat to match!!

Will probably get a nice leather collar when pup is older butI could just go mad, there is so much choice and so many styles and colours!

I darent even go count how many collars and leads i

have and i must have a dozen coats :b

Yep mine are both different....

Light blue = Ben and dark blue = Sidney

that sort of thing

I like Dolly and Remmy to match (bit sad I know). :- " They are both fawn with white trim so people think they are sisters. :huggles:

At the moment they have matching red collars and leads (from Dawn) for everyday use, as well as a few martingale-type collars and matching leads for special occasions.

They have green/red trimmed waterproof coats, brown faux suede coats for best (from Jo at Citycroft), as well as beige fleece coats I made for them.

I think I could spend loads more on their 'wardrobe' and buy more 'bling' but my OH would not approve. I'm sure my relatives think I'm bonkers. :- " At least K9ers all understand. :)

I like my girls to wear matching collars and leads or colours that co-ordinate :b

I tend to buy Lilac for Evie and Pink for Gracie, but they do both suit red and have the same collars and red coats to match :)

My daughter and her boyfriend wanted to take them both out for a walk the other day and the bfriend just grabbed any leads off the hooks and clipped them on the girls ...... well I cringed when I saw what he had done :b and changed the leads to match the collars ..... needless to say he gave me such a look  the daughter had to explain that the collars have to match the leads .... bet he thinks I'm a bit

The best leather collars and leads I have had were off Dawn, fab quality and wear really well

Definitely very important to have everything coordinated

I have even my dogs coordinated.

(w00t) Now that is taking it a bit far...what colour do I need next...must coordinate my colours...think white and black would go very well with my black and white...mmm must think about this...look very good coordinated like that...

You have four very stunning and eyecatching dogs

and I guess the next important question is do you colour co-ordinate to what you are wearing with your dog's outfit?

In the dressage world I see lots of riders who not only match their horses bandages and saddle blanket but also co-ordinate what they are wearing as well. I've never been quite that organised :b

With the whippets I do like them to have their own 'gear' in colours/patterns that suit them.

it's hard enough work getting an outfit that isn't black to show her in (w00t) let alone coordinating accesories

You're lucky I couldhave at a show a white greyhound a mostly black greyhound whith white legs a solid brindle whuippet a blue brinle parti whippet and a black brindle whippet .You try finding a colour to wear with that lot without doing 4 quick changes between classes. For crufts Ben had to have 2 siutes a grey for showing Button and a black for showin Tanya's Blue

As for leads and colours they all have their own collars all different colours. Coats I tend to have torquiose for them all but Button and Freyja have red as I couldn't get any torquiose for them. Having said Freyja has a red cot OH bought her a PURPLE collar at crufts so ahe has to wear a different on if she needs her coat on
