Well as you all know hydro-therapy was recommended as an aid to Colts healing process for his torn gracilis. hes been coming along nicely with the aid of "ultrasound" and some good advice :thumbsup:
today was his first trip to Earlswood Vets hydro-pool. hes been practicing like mad outside in the garden so i thought he was going to be good at it
he feckin hated it the 2 girls got dressed in green rubber which incidently i found quite errrm fetching :- " anyway we traipsed out to the pool room 3 of us and "dog cousteau" the pool was about 15` x 8` with a ramp leading onto it and one into the pool. the girls got his bouyancy jacket on....he thought he was off to the starting line :lol: then when he felt a gentle tug to poolside..well it all turned to pants ! big swimming pants !
in he went..his first face said to me..."john i dont like it..i like the goggles and stuff but get me the feck outa here!" a girl on each side of the pool passed him across to each other like he was a boat..a stripey boat for ages he just hung his back legs behind him just kicking with his front ones...then he decided hed had enough.
confusion reigned as margo on the far side almost went head-over-tit in with him...somehow he managed to hold onto her arm with both paws. i ran round the other side and pulled her back from the impending doom that was Colt in the pool!
then he headed for the steps and grabbed the rail with the afore mentioned "margo-claspers"..he actually looked like a kid at the public baths (w00t) froze and pissed off !
after a few minutes they passed him around again till he started kicking with the back legs....yeh great Colt youve only got 30 seconds left :wacko:
he was praying for the sound we all rem at the pool... "would all dogs wearing red jackets please leave the pool immeditley"..
that was his cue !! he couldnt wait to get out of the clutches of the "green rubber people" anyway he was showered and dried and booked in for more water torture next week :- "
the girls said theyve seen worse dogs but not dogs as long ! ..they said he looked like an alligator :unsure: :unsure:
anyway here he is .. the "dog who hated water" :angry:
ok girls..let me at it ive been practicing all week !
