Irish marked is white tips on all paws, tail and a white 'collar' on an otherwise solid coloured (solid brindle counts as well) dog.

interesting reading
I hope that if I ever end up getting myself a nice show puppy, that I'll remember not just the 'business' side of things (I don't mean cash, I mean all the stuff people are talking about on here) but that I also remember that the reason I would like a show puppy is so that I can have a hobby where I spend time with my dog, and meeting other people who are doing the same

even if we're not winners :p

What do you mean by the 'business' side of things Doris? i know you said 'the bit people are saying about on here', but i dont understand  don't know if its me being bit dim! :b

I mean that if I do end up getting a show pup one day, it would be from a breeder who has done the hard bit of picking out the best parents to produce the best quality pups that will hopefully improve the breed

not that I want to sound lazy! I just know that I don't have enough time/money/experience/emotional strength :- " to embark on the 'business' side, I just would like a nice pet dog that I can be my hobby too

it's probably just bad wording to say 'business', I should have said serious

One of my new favourite colours recently is that exhibited in the attached picture which features my son Mick, who is breeder of all Avalonia whippets, holding Avalonia Across the Universe (Dan), our four month old pick of litter male sired by Fin.Swed.Cdn.Ch. Scheik's Ardbeg Avalonia (from whom he gets that gorgeous red coat colour) x Cdn.Ch. Avalonia Wispa Jesta.
Awww Dan is gorgeous  , and he has exactly the same face and expression as Suvi (Nicholas' granddaughter) (w00t) .

Nice to see the consistency of type going down the line to the grandchildren, isn't it? That's what a good linebred pedigree will deliver every time.

Having seen Dan let me show you Frankie now. This is our girl Frankie -- Avalonia Moment in the Sun -- litter sister of Dan, with our good friend Gabi. I am not sure who is the prettier.
