I've seen a report that said there is an entry of 25,000 this year!

Just wishing you all the very best of good luck. I came over in 1993 & showed the first Aussie bred whippet ever to compete. We had a fantastic day, got placed in our class & I still treasure the rosette I had to buy myself!

My sister is ready to record the TV coverage for me - I hope they don't have the same twitty compere they had last year. Ben somebody! Richard Hammond & Clare Balding did a good job the year before.

Anyway, lots of luck everyone - will be thinking of you & wishing I was there again.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day :thumbsup: I can't wait to get there and I'm really looking forward to doing Discover Dogs on the Friday as well, This is such a good day, wonderful talking to some many people about whippets, and my boys just lap up all the attention :huggles:

I will be showing in Rockhampton (4hrs drive south) under a whippet breeder. I will imagine I'm in the Crufts ring. :lol: Even though it will actually be a little bit before you get there. :b

Does anyone ever officially film the full breed judging and sell the video?

We do it at our Specialties - well Victoria does anyhow.

If you want it done - pick me! There's a thought - I could pay for my trip with enough orders. Although I'd need another camera person wouldn't I - dogs and bitches in different rings at the same time?

Mind you - from personal experience, there are some people in the UK who don't want their dogs on video - even for someone's own personal use (not making a vid to sell but to take home and watch in order to choose a kennel to buy from or stud dog to use). :blink: :wacko:

Have a couple of kiwi mates heading in your direction, but they will be focussing on the pointer ring as they bred Master Breeze (NZ Gr Ch/Aust Ch/Eng Ch Chesterhope Lets Be Serious (Exp NZ) who will be shown.

However, I have given strick instructions to poke their noses in the whippet ring
