 maybe you was thinking about your weeing shoes :- "

I seem to remember there was a girl photographing the whippets at Crufts previously and she had them all on her website . Someone on here put a link to it and it showed all the winners in every class .

Bitch Critique - from Dog World

The Dog critique is not online yet.

Whippet bitches

V (13,3a) 1 Becquet & Darby’s Falconcrag Victoriana, in super coat covering a good body shape, moved well with drive & extension despite age; 2 Walker’s Shoalingham Selebration, very sound when moving to & fro, pleasing angles both fore & aft with good infill to chest. Just preferred length of loin of 1; 3 Price’s Silkstone Butterfly at Silkdance, liked her body shape but did not use angles to best advantage when moving.

P (19,4) 1 Snelgrove’s Huntinghill Jazzalicious, well constructed bitch, giving graceful outline when moving in profile, pleasing depth of chest & spring of rib. Has a little bit of the devil in her; 2 Banyard’s Darquell Hannah Nutherwon, her conformation & type was not shown to best advantage by her handler. Has extension & drive in profile when settled; 3 Morgan’s Spinneyhill Serendipity, pleasing body mass with good rear angles, gave much better outline standing for report than in class.

J (25,2) 1 Howgate & Hull’s Palmik Midnight Mischief, won this class on the ease & trueness of her movement, has a pleasing body shape when stood with balanced angles; 2 Ledger’s Tradewind Touch Of Magic, very stunning with correct feet. Would like to see her really go; 3 Randall’s Whirlygig Lavender Blue, pleasing head & eye, well boned for colour, cannot be ignored.

Y (30,5) 1 Scheerens & Dams’ Balmy Limonite Dominija, superb type, style & movement, very elegant neck flowing into well placed shoulders, liked her balance of top & underline; 2 Evans & Leonard’s Witchstone Kraka Wheat, although she was quite naughty this did not detract from her obvious quality. She is well balanced in quarters with correct depth of chest; 3 Hills & Little’s Loroli Joystone, correct in top & underline, a little head strong made to & fro movement erratic but profile was pleasurable to watch.

UG (26,2) 1 Oliver’s Spyanfly Sharon Stone, just stunning in both construction & movement, she just blew me away, handled to perfection; 2 Hunter’s Collooney Sweet N Sassy at Salatini, beautifully shown, would have liked a little more drop in chest but moved superbly; 3 Rees & Jones’ Collooney Fields Of Gold at Kierpark, lovely shape, elegant profile movement, correct amount of muscle, stunning coat.

G (26,3) 1 P Midnight Mischief; 2 Ellis’ Rainy Day at Railfield, well constructed bitch who still has some maturing to do. Not quite as easy on the move as 1; 3 Thompson’s Barnesmore Smart Move, finer bitch with good rear angles which she used to drive, good length of neck but not the coat of the first two.

PG (17,1) 1 Mason’s Aphrael Damhan-Allaidh, when stood this bitch is the epitome of elegance, not having the best handler but this did not deter from her soundness to & fro; 2 Robertson’s Cornstalk Sophies Dream for Lowtherhills, very similar in shape to 1 with a very feminine head & expression, quite sound but not just the extension in profile of 1; 3 Hunter’s Mossbawnhill She’s Eleqtric at Salatini, preferred head of first two, but she is in good body condition & had lovely flowing topline & underline.

ML (2,15) 1 Mycroft’s Supeta’s Bootilicious Babe, what a feminine but muscular body helped by correct angles & correct depth of chest, she stood on the best of feet, with super coat condition; 2 Williams’ Fieldrunner Naughty N’ Nice, not quite the spring of rib as 1 but sound when moving to & fro helped by the balance of her angles; 3 Minns & Pascoe’s Juneric Midnight Magic, heavier muscle on the shoulder made this bitch a little unbalanced in shape. Good length of tail.

L (20,2) My placings in this class could have changed any other day. 1 Randall’s Spinneyhill Cinnamon at Hammonds, this lady was balanced in all quarters presenting the combination of elegance & strength, extended & drove well in profile, thanks to her moving harder; 2 Burton’s Dunaruna Sky Shadow, well presented bitch who moved soundly to & fro, not extending quite as well as 1. Loved her head & expression; 3 Dufty, Morland-Allen & Morland’s Triken Sweet Dreams, very feminine with lovely skin & coat, nothing exaggerated, pulled out the stops when asked to move.

O (27,5) 1 Yacoby-Wright’s Cobyco Careless Love, typical Whippet with stunning body mass & great second thigh for balance, has a topline I was looking for which she held on the move in profile; 2 Johansson’s Burnt Sienna Midsummer Breeze, slightly more of this bitch than 1 but it was a close contest; 3 McLeod’s Ch/Aus Ch Peperone White Heather, always been a favourite of mine & did not disgrace herself, has a beautiful expression & was in lovely condition for age.

Racing/Coursing (6) 1 Reed’s Alzao Niamh at Dejare, lovely shape with good reach of neck, balanced in all quarters; 2 S Selebration; 3 S Butterfly at S.

GC ( 8 ) 1 Di Dio’s Kushka’s Firefly, very elegant bitch who has both reach & drive which when combined with topline presents an attractive picture in profile; 2 Prowse’s Freehamlet Star Kwaliti, correct shape & topline with complementary underline joining good angles fore & aft; 3 White’s Copsebury Lucky Move to Castlefenny, correct topline but rather a tall bitch. Would have liked less length of leg to balance body mass.

I'll get some photos sorted by the weekend. I'm just working through them now.

Yvonne I'm sorry I don't think we got any of your crew. The last 2 years we've been lucky and had a bench ringside, so I could see who was in the ring and send Nick over to take photos. This year our bench was further away, I had an extra dog and I was in a lot of pain, so we didn't get as many as we'd have liked to of our friends' dogs :(

Hopefully next year we'll be better.
