Well as most of you will know we got quite a few inches of snow yesterday along with most of the resrt of Britian.

Normally I love it....and have been out with the boys and had a fantastic time.

Now I feel like a moan...sorry... :b

Last night my brother got stuck about 10 miles away in it on his way home from his job as a carer, and as he hadnt had a lot

of experience driving in the snow...my hubby offered to take my vehicle along with my brother in law to go to his assistance.

Anyway they only got 3 miles and had to turn back the drifts here were so bad and it was blowing in. :(

Anyway fortunately we got a call at Midnight to say my brother had had to go a very long way round and eventually got home safely,

roads were atrocious.

End of story you may think...Oh NO.....I noticed dripping on the top of the landing at 11.30 pm last night...yes the celing was leaking in

we have a valley gutter between our two properties....leaded and slated.

Anyway we padded everything up with towels and buckets.....but Hardly slept a WINK and was up and down all night wringing towels out

and emptying buckets and dishes. It was running down the walls too.....

The Good news is the Builder has been up on the roof this morning.....the sun is now shining...my valley gutter is cleared....and the

dehumidifier is working away like a good en. :) I am a tad tired though and have a headache...been up since 5 am this morning.

and also a very soggy stair carpet...

PLEASE PLEASE NO MORE SNOW JUST YET..!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your terrible night ...... hope everything is sorted now (especially your headache!).

Has the snow started to clear now? It started raining here last night so a lot has turned to slush ...... at least the side roads are starting to clear now and the girls are back at school. But just looked at forecast and its 'heavy snow' for up here on Thursday ...... typical ...... I'm back at work then!!

Its been thawing like mad...think thats whats caused the problems...

Its sunny here and just melting.... schools back too...but my son is at home because of our disrupted night.

Watching the TV news though, seems like I got off lightly compared to lots of other people.
