Well this was an epic fail with Dennis! He couldn't be bothered to flip it over to try and get the treats.

Anyone with any better suggestions?

sometimes! if theres food in there then definitely!!

Jasper found the Tug-a-Jug a bit too challenging, but it was fine once I took the rope out.

I like this treat ball: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cyber-Dog-Cyber-Rubber-Treat-Large/dp/B002SPNDLI It's bouncy, so more fun than most, and doesn't make a horrible noise when dropped on a hard floor. It's also easier for the dog to pick up so you don't have to rescue it from under furniture and in awkward corners quite so often.

would this one be as good as this? - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07263R1CS/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1

that looks perfect! - thanks @JudyN

I am forever looking for Den's kong which is often hidden under the sofa somewhere!

Maybe - though as the treats would be on the outside the dog might just lie down and work at it. The one I posted they have to roll it around or drop it and the treats appear as if by magic.
okay i might look into that ball because Olive wont eat kibble unless its soaked in OXO cubes witch for a dog is so unhealthy, this might make her eat her kibble.

Could you make your own stock, @Violet Turner ? When Jasper was ill and wouldn't eat I boiled up some chicken carcasses in a pan of wand gave him the liquid - he thought it was manna from heaven! You could use beef bones, veg, whatever. It would be far healthier than OXO cubes which are so high in salt.

how would i make it, boil up some bones in a pan? i don't do it all the time but after half the week of home cooked then wet food with kibble she hates it i would love to give her home cooked the whole time but i feel it would take too long.

Yup, put random bones in a large pan of water, maybe with veg (not onions, leeks, etc) for flavour, and boil for up to an hour or so. Strain the liquid, and freeze it in convenient sized containers. Any meat that has fallen off the bone can be used for treats or added to meals - but DON'T feed the cooked bones.

okay thanks, the bones can splinter if you give them cooked.

B&M do a plastic snake thing which you can stuff with kibble or even wet food. I use part of Harri's food allowance and he'll worry away at it for ages. Even when it's not stuffed he'll trot around with it in his mouth. It is proving surprisingly robust -most toys are now destroyed within minutes

(Best of all it squeaks and makes the OH jump when he treads on it :D)
