think this as been on before but here goes this is what i think :- i think all national bodys should have a drug testing programme as if not it would seem to animal rights etc that we do nothing to protect the well being of the dogs that race ;im sorry but in this day and age every events ie show jumping etc have testing not just to stop them winning but to protect the animals from such abuse.to ban testing in its self makes it not illegal to do so in racing and what does this look like :(

I would think the tracers where not any prohibited substance that could enhance a dogs performance or else HFL would of automatically done the full screen test ...

Personally i think the NNWRF are doing a good job in drug testing ...if they were not and there had been any contamination or problems then HFL would of been in contact with us ...

why not ask Linda when you next see her to explain anything about testing, instead of the silly little game certain people are playing :( well done with this bullshit its a great advert  there are some things i could say in k9 but wont YET :- " think this sport is getting enough bad publicity.SAME OLD SHIT ALL THE TIME  if i had my way id do away with testing but the members asked for it then what moan dig complain  wonder if its worthwhile trying to work running opens etc for what a mainly good membership and a few who just want to complain and moan who dont have a clue just how much people put into the governing bodies and yes i for one have nearly had enough BUT then thats just what some would like try promoting whippet racing for a change instead of all this rubbish and lack of faith in a hard working committee ...

Im sorry if you thought my post was having a dig Gary, maybe i worded it incorrect or something but as Dee had touched on the subject of HFL confirming if substances were injested or samples contaminated, i just wondered if the initial test covered this. It's by the by now, it's just for future reference and something i hadn't given much thought to before

NNWRF DOING GREAT JOB GOOD CHAMPIONSHIP GREAT DAY KEEP IT UP

I wasn't digging Gary, just asked a question,as I didn't know that other things were recorded on a test result besides the negative/positive result. The fact that whippet racers care enough to ask questions is a promotion of whippet racing :thumbsup:There really is no need to be so defensive they are just questions

Think gaz is in his right Karen been defensive after the amount of money , time off work to look for venues etc he has put into the NNWRF for members ...

Ive told him a hundred times to ignore the snide comments made by some , but i am afraid to say its not in his nature , but he does seem to be mellowing in his old age (w00t) and his card making was coming along lovely the past week

didn't mean to rant  just peed off with all the negativity of late everyone is entitled to there say

Think it's only fair for this Poll to be bumped too as it was an enlightening one. Regardless of how big the issue was to individuals, the fact that out of 100 responses, 95 people felt that there was drug abuse within the sport.

Some felt this poll was misconstrued by other members on the forum responding to the poll, however why someone with no connection to whippet racing would feel compelled to respond to a poll, especially where the option Null Vote was available to them, is beyond my reasoning.

Edited To Add:

Personally, I don't think this poll was derogatory to the sport or the forum, I feel ignoring or denying the possibility exists with no contingency plans to deter it is far, far more damaging to the sport itself.
