Cant wait till you get Rocket home..they come on loads in the comfort of thir own home :)

05_2_002.jpgRocket has now been home for 5 days and is making even more progress here, he can now wobble round the house or garden for 10 meters at a time and we are re-teaching him how to sit, stand and walk without going cock-eyed. The physio visited him yesterday and said he was doing so well that she would be surprised if we wern't taking him for walks within 2 months. It's hard work but as everyone has said - worth it!

So pleased for you!

Just wait till he wags his tail, you'll be over the moon! Sounds daft but you notice the little things!

Please keep us posted. :luck:

awwwwww, tough little dog

Just lovely to see him in those photos Scott. I'm so pleased for you, Joey and himself of course. :huggles:

He's looking really well Scott. I am so relieved for you and Joey. It must have been so traumatic and will have knocked the stuffing out of you for future racing. I expect you'll just know in your own mind from taking cues off of Diesel as to whether he'll race again. Keep up the good work

Lovely to see Diesel looking sooo much better  .......He's a very lucky boy :D

Looking at the second photo who would have believed the trauma Diesel has been through. We're all so pleased for you all, please give him (the dog that is!) a biscuit from us.

We took Rocket for his first hydrotherapy session last week. Not surprisingly he got quite tired after a few lengths of the pool but it did wonders for him, the day after he was able to transfer more weight onto his hindquarters and co-ordinate his leg movements better. We were even able to take him for a short walk (shamble?) over the grassy verges for about 1/2 mile.

Unfortunately on Friday he fell over rather badly when he got out of our sight and tried to go down a small step, this seems to have set him back a bit and he is now falling over more. However his muscles in his back are now filling out more so the setback should only be temporary.

It's a very long road, but he'll over come the set back's, and continue like nothings happened ..........Amazing thing a determined Whippet ......... ......Good luck with both Diesel and Rocket

:luck: All the very best to you both with your boys :luck:  lovely to see Diesel getting stronger day by day.

We took Diesel racing today ( just 4 a watch of course) he thoroughly enjoyed himself and i still cant believe how he improves on a daily basis.

Everyone was saying how well he looked, he was really was itching for a go..im sure it wont be long now.

We are soo pleased that he seems to be getting there.

Hope Rocket still getting loads better :))
