Hello Everyone, I'm back! Thanks for the messages and cards for my birthday, I was dreading being 50, but so far it has been great!! I told Steve not to buy me anything, as we have windows etc to buy for the house, so imagine my surprise on my birthday - I went into breakfast in the hotel, and the table had been decorated with balloons and banners (courtesy of my brother and sister-in-law). I opened all the presents they bought me from the girls, and sister-in-law's mum. My brother and his wife bought me tickets to see Take That in Cardiff, so I was thrilled. Then Steve took a bit of kitchen roll out of his pocket, and plonked it on the table. Inside was a full carat of diamonds in a trilogy ring - it is beautiful, and I was gobsmacked to say the least. He had gone to a lot of effort to get it without me knowing. I normally look after all the banking etc, so he had to sneak the money out. He told the shop he didn't want it in a box, as I would probably see it!! He had it in his pocket when we travelled, and in the safe in our room for a few days. I had absolutely no idea, and expected what I had asked for - nothing!! If he asked me beforehand, I would have told him not to splash out, but now I have it I love it, and I'm glad he did!!

 

It's great to be back home, and back to my FAO friends - you're a lovely lot, and I missed you lots xxxxxx
