As Foxy is now ten weeks old, she went to the vets today for her first jabs. A journey of one hour each way.

Two miles down the road, with another 34 to go, whe was sick. Then she started whining, then she was sick again, then she started crying, then she was sick again, then she started screaming, then she wet herself, then did a poo - and she'd scraped at her blanket to try to cover it all, so she had it all over her feet and legs.

Half way to the vets I stopped and cleaned the cage and changed her blanket. By the time we reached Stornoway she had been sick again and was drooling. The vet gave her a check-up before he injected her - and guess what - he pronounced her fit and healthy, she acted as if nothing was wrong nor ever had been, perfect bouncy little puppy :- "

The journey back went better, but sick again. She is quite subdued now and for once I have a few minutes Foxy-free.

awww look at her face in that pic

fancy making her go in the car :- "

Aww poor little mite, dosnt sound like she has forgotten that long journey home yet.

When shes older you could try giving her sealegs before a car journey...or using DAP spray to calm her.

she may be a little subdued anyway after her jab, :huggles: hope shes feeling better soon.

I can see shes already grown a bit..shes gorgeous.

Is your vet in Stornaway? Just wondered...as it's one of the few towns on Lewis I think. Sorry but I'm fascinated by the fact you live on Lewis. :b I do hope you're going to put on loads of walk photos when Foxy is older.

They hate the car as pups....it will take a while for her to get used it. :luck:

aww sorry she had a bad journey. Foxy is beautiful

Awww poor thing!

She is so beautiful and love her name!

Poppy is still sick nearly every time we go in the car but nowhere near as bad, and our vets is 10 mins away which is good.

Aye, it's the ONLY town, and only one vet practice on the island - fortunately he doesn't take advantace, and better still, he's a whippet man!

I have to give Twiggy Skullcap and valerian tablets plus a ginger biscuit before a journey, or she is sure to be sick.

I hope your lovely little girl grows out of it for both your sakes
