Sorry, wasn't ignoring you but haven't been on the 'puter last couple of days ........... busy dog showing!!!

Franks is 13 now and doing quite well especially as he has Cushings. I thought I was going to lose him at the beginning of the year because he stopped eating although his bloods and ACTH tests had all been normal just prior to Xmas. He was just wasting away before my eyes. It was heartbreaking.

Then I got his next prescription and reverted to my usual supplier (Vetmedic) and after the first month on this lot of tablets he started to pick up. I have wracked my brains and the only thing different in his life had been where I got his prescription from. Were they duff tablets? I suppose I will never know and he is back to 'normal' again, thank goodness. All for the sake of saving a few pence .............. won't do that again!

Lovely to hear that he is doing so well Caroline. Very scary to think though, that if that was the case about the tablets :( Glad you got the new lot from the old supplier and they seem to have done the trick :luck:

TCx

what a stunning little man :)) he looks so gorgeous in his new collar :))

I don't know exactly what cushings is, but thank God the tablets are now working

Im glad to hear he's picked up again :huggles: - very strange about the tablets, but duff human tablets aren't unheard of, so i suppose same could apply to animal stuff too

theres a lot of fake drugs coming into the country these days mainly from pakistan and china.id get in touch with your supplier and tell them of your experiences as they may be importing them from abroad.theres going to be a lot of trouble in years to come with human drugs as theyre the ones that its easiest and most profitable to supply.what worries me is they target cancer and heart drugs .they may give you a refund but i think theyd certainly do some checking with them.always get your drugs from reputable companies but even this isnt a real guarantee as the suppliers might try to cut corners and buy them cheaper.its very worrying :(
