looking forward to the first nationals of the year,NPWA getting stronger by the day, good luck to everyone going im sure it will be a cracker! :D
TO BE THE BEST YOU'VE GOT TO BEAT THE BEST AND I KNOW WHERE THE BEST WILL BE ON AUGUST 2ND.........NATIONALS!
We don’t need f-ing nameless twats who are scared to reveal themselves slating other peoples dogs, to my mind you have to be known to even be credible. Just how you know what dogs are running where amazes me, and who are you to decide on the best dogs. At the end of the day we should all take the best dog home.

People have had to make some heart wrenching decisions for the coming weekend. I know there have been a lot of tears and upsets and I wish everybody the best of luck wherever they decide to run. :luck:

Yes I believe some people have found it hard to decide where to go and others have found the decision easy and are probably glad they had the choice. Good luck to everyone wherever they go. :luck:

Well said Gary. I couldn't agree more.

PLEASE can we keep this thread as i intended it to be.....i wanted to wish :luck: to the 1st NPWRA championships and all its runners, and yet again its turning into a mud sliging contest... :(

i understand your feelings Garry and the fact that "thicon" is unknown to us is frustating im sure.. ...however the NPWRA has also been affected by people posting lots of negative rubbish under a user name... "GYPSY" seemed to have alot to say from the cover of a user name :-

i wish good luck and a pleasant day to ALL racers wherever they choose to run on sunday

Elaine will be doing the raffle at the NPWRA....please support her with a prize pleeeeeeeeeeaseeeeee (w00t)

I think the fact that we haven't posted anything negative says an awful lot Julie - why would we? We have moved on, the rest is history  Negativity is counter-productive :D :teehee:

LOL Your post had me smiling for the first bit and then nodding in agreement for the second bit.

A very heartfelt post that I totally agree with.

I'm sure you do TC

but as i have already said the NPWRA have also had secret posters chipping in at every opportunity, along with non racers -_- (or very occasional racers that dont even open race anyway)

but hey thats life im afraid.... i wasnt going to get into this again but i have to defend "theicon" here (who ever you are), i do agree to be the best you have to beat the best ;)

this was how i felt at the bend champs this year, i felt on the day the dog to beat (and im sure colin and tina wont mind me saying) was WCRCH Diamond Geezer, who is an outstanding dog who has been dominating the 30lb group for ages and rightly so.. had he not raced that day i would of always wondered if my Peppermint Perfection would of got her half coat

so yes to be the best on that day ...she did imo beat the best

but why this keeps being dragged up i dont know, the wcra dont want a repeat of the 1st champs, and the rest of us are happy to be racing else where  so whats the problem?

There is no problem Peppermint Lady.

I just said I agreed that it's been hard for a lot of people. I know, I've spoken to a few, so understand how difficult it is for them.

It clearly isn't hard for you, but there are a lot of people out there who have struggled with this decision.

That's all. It's obviously not only me who feels like that, as I was quoting someone else.

TCx

TC there are also MANY racers who have been in despair over the last 18 months, and have not struggled in their choice of venue on Sunday, they too deserve the right to get excited about the NPWRA championships with out yet another of their threads being the target for negative posts...thats all. :D

I've moved some posts to here as the conversation seems to have taken a different turn.

This was a thread to wish everyone well at the 1st Npwra Nationals TC .

not an excuse for the vultures to fly and unlike some people we have no problems putting our name,s to any thread :)

And do not assume that this was an easy decision for us we have friends in the wcra as well as Npwra .

I also agree with Gary that people should sign their own name,s on threads :( dishonesty and secrecy is what put us in this position in the 1st place .

But life goes on and we must look to the future

  (w00t)

il vote for MR.G as a committee member.....simples

The fact that there are hard decisions to make and that for some people it has been easy just go's to show that there is something wrong with the established organisation of whippet racing. If everything was Ok the decision would have been easy and we'd all have gone to Morton.

Whats happened has happened. A split has occurred and it happened some time ago so lets just forget it and move on.

the last thing we need is for us to fall out with our friends just because of our opinions on where to run on sunday.all i know is that racing my whippets every sunday hoping they walk off the track injuryfree after every race and congratulating my friends after there dog has won. heres to a injury free day on sunday where ever you race.good luck to all  :huggles:

I think its best to close this one now whilst its still reasonably polite :))
