So sorry you have gone through such a tough decision, but you have made the right choice for all concerned. :huggles: It always amazes me how quickly dogs adapt to a new home, so I'm sure as long as Alba is really loved, he won't look back. I think we often think dogs have the same feelings/thoughts that we do :- " but I'm certain he won't feel you have let him down. :huggles:
Years ago my Mum (RIP) had three dogs - sadly Sally (Terrier X) did not get on with the other two. It made my Mum's life really stressful, and Sally always had to be kept in a separate room from the others. In the evenings, Mum would often sit in the kitchen with Sally while her husband sat in the lounge with the other two.
