So sorry you have gone through such a tough decision, but you have made the right choice for all concerned. :huggles: It always amazes me how quickly dogs adapt to a new home, so I'm sure as long as Alba is really loved, he won't look back. I think we often think dogs have the same feelings/thoughts that we do :- " but I'm certain he won't feel you have let him down. :huggles:

Years ago my Mum (RIP) had three dogs - sadly Sally (Terrier X) did not get on with the other two. It made my Mum's life really stressful, and Sally always had to be kept in a separate room from the others. :( In the evenings, Mum would often sit in the kitchen with Sally while her husband sat in the lounge with the other two.

Ann :huggles: this is cuz I know you'll be needing it right now.

There are some really tough decisions to make in life sometimes and this certainly qualifies as one.

How I view my little pack is that as Leader, it is my responsibility to ensure that my pack functions smoothly. If I choose to bring in a new member, their permanent place in the pack can only be guarenteed if everyone can learn to exist harmoniously together. If they can't, then for the happiness of us all, it is the newcomer who has to move on. This is tough, it really really is, but in my books you have done exactly as you should: you did your level best to help the pack in its re-shuffle, but in the end the personalities concerned meant that it wasn't to be. So long as you have ensured Alba's new sofa is as loving a one as yours, then you have done right by him every bit as much as you have done right by the girls: ultimately he would not have been happy long-term in a conflicted household either.

:huggles: more of those for ya hon xxx

So sorry that things didn't work out for you and Alba. :( I'm sure he will be just fine in his new home, :) so please don't feel bad. :huggles:

hey our ann...how could anyone think bad of you?? they couldnt my luv cos you did everything you could but it just wasnt meant to be...you took a brave step and we are all behind you...please dont feel bad ann......please dont :huggles: i know how hard this must have been for you...but it was the right way to go...time will make it easier for you....sarah xxxxxxxxx

Well done Ann for attempting to take on Big Al in the first place, the world needs more people like you who at least try to give an animal a second chance. Sadly though with all the best intentions things in life do not always work out the way we yearn for them to and a household with stress and worry ultimately helps nobody. Take heart that at least you tried, but it just wasnt to be, you have nothing to feel guilty about, so go and enjoy your girls :huggles:

Your not a bad bunch on here are you

No seriously thanks to each and every one of you who took the time

to reply on here :huggles:

It was such a hard thing to do, i've never had to let an animal go

before and i wouldn't want to feel like this again, ever. But in all

honestly i must admit Sada is a different dog already and spent all

last night rolling about with K like a puppy, they ruined three soft

toys between them. And i can have had a walk now and dont have

to worry about Al chasing other people's dogs.

All i have to do now is disguise my red swollen eyes when i go

out today.................

Here's a few more :huggles: :huggles: for you, Ann :)

It's nice to hear that Sada is relaxing again

Good excuse to buy a new pair of sunglasses, eh???? 8) :- "

so nice to hear sada is feeling better already :huggles:

now all we need to do is get your spirit lifted :) think a nice long walk on that beach of yours will help :) wish i lived closer we could have a stroll together :(

Hi, havent been on here very long but read a bit about Alba and your girls before.

I was reading another post and saw that only your girls pics were in your signature so I searched to see where Alba was.

I think you are great, you always seem to leave fab advice and nice pics and from everyones comments I am sure you are really really lovely.

I just wanted to say that I think you are very brave, you made a difficult, upsetting decision, but one that was best for all the dogs, you are a true animal lover!!

Glad to hear the girls are getting on better and meant to say this ages ago....

I love their names and they are very beautiful.

:huggles:

Thank you very much for that Carla :huggles:

Just caught up with this Ann, so sorry for all of you :huggles:

Things always happen for a reason, its a great sign of strength to do the right thing as you have done, although it is not the easy option :huggles:

Alba will find his perfect home
