Need some good brains to think of an animal or birds that we can keep to annoy

our dog hating neighbours who reported us to the local council for noise nuisance

breeding dogs etc,

It was all lies and we have been cleared of everything , but it gave us weeks of worry .( our other neighbours say they never hear the dogs )

The house is on the market but we want to put to use an enclosed area of grass that has a 6 ft fence and large garage for shelter , our whole site is third of an acre and this is a third of that.

Our neighbour has chickens so we get his rats !!

Any suggestions welcome

Lillybet

guinea fowl are just as noisy and you'd prbably get them easier than peacocks

We have a similiar problem with our dog hating neighbours they repot us to the RSPCA even the inspector who comes out (same one every time ) cmes looks says everything is ok then says

'See you in 6 months when she tries again'

Best of itis she used tohave a dog that she left out all the time my OH did all nights and couldn't sleep because of the dogs barking .She never shut it up and we never complained .The dogs only bark when they hear my car pull up outside or someone knocks on the door My M-I-L lives with us and never goes out of the door so we know they don't bark  Ufortunately we don't have the room to have any noisy birds or I would.

Our other neighbour only moved in at the end of last year and didn't know we had dogs until his sisterwho lives 3 doors down told him what we have

Thanks for the replies guinea fowl sound good, are they easy to look after ?

I know other people have problems too , this bloke makes noise all the time when he is not at work repairing old cars and lorries which we have put up with , and he trys to wind our Iggy's up by silly noise by mouth.

Our Iggy's are quiet and don't make a noise except in play , they are our family and are rarely left alone for long.

We also have 2 old retired racing greyhounds who only bark if their dinner is late , they are all exercised everyday as we have a 1000 acre nature reserve behind us.

I must say the coucil were very nice , the dog warden also .

Thanks for that I expect you can clip their wings to stop them flying as I would hate them to roost in Plod's trees ( thats what we call him next door )

that would be such a shame if they roosted in his trees :- " (w00t)

Yes he has cockrel's and complains about our dogs when his chickens make loads of noise. His wife feeds the birds which is a joke as she feeds squirrels magpies and piegons !!!

Then she moaned like mad when we removed a hedge to put up a fence
