Help!!!

Stella is another story, she jumps and kisses and sits and is not so easy to capture in good moment. :b As we already eastablished, she has plenty of ooomph :) She is also nice bitch. A friend is coming from interstate to look at both in week or so, and if she likes them as much as she like their photos she is going to take one home to show.

Here is the best we could do with Stella

Both very beautiful Lida. I have to say I'm not real keen on the way the toplines fall away to the rear ... but ... if there's only one thing you can pick that you would change then you're doing pretty well. Everything else about them is lovely. Glad you're the one who has to do the choosing :p

If I had to make a decision I would go with Stella - topline was better in earlier pics.

They are both lovely girls, I would love it if you could take a picture of them just standing.

I think the baiting is making them stand over thier fronts and making them fall away a bit.

The last pics of Stella relaxed would make me inclined to chose her.

Im sure you have said what is behind them, if it what I think then I would def go for Stella.

Hard for you, you have two very nice girls to chose from and of course at the end of the day it would be movement that swung it for me.

Best of luck what ever you decide

hmmmmm.... I so need to see them in the flesh - I HATE picking on photo's as I have had it where I have had stunning puppies on the photo's & they are less than the pic in the flesh & vice versa.

Now being the breeder of both their daddy, grandma & great grandma, I feel I have enough justification in these comments - Alex, Lulu & Mikayla were all so not photogenic - they seem to shorten & cut away - Lana, if I sent you photo's of Alex at 4wks, you would have chucked him out, honestly, he was so short & cutty away you would stop breathing - Lulu of course, the same (now I guess all the Best In Show's Allbreeds & Specialty will confirm she is much better in the flesh than on the camera) however, these dogs are lovely specimens of the breed & have kept the flag flying in both All Breeds & Spec' rings.

These 2 puppies are lovely, I have swung more to Solange, but on these ones I go for Stella BUT.... I wouldn't want to make any rash decisions on either of these photos - they are 2 very lovely babies

I hope you're justification there doesn't mean that I've offended Lynda - certainly wasn't my intention. I was just stating what I saw in the pics. And, as I said, if a person can only pick one thing on a pup that they are not fussed on, then the breeder of said pup is doing well.

Wholeheartedly agree that photos don't tell the whole story - people who are looking at the photos don't live with the dog so they can't possibly know every aspect in order to make an informed decision - ultimately that rests with the breeder.

Add to this also that we all know how whippet pups chop and change their look from week to week. They must be one of the most difficult breeds to make choices on in their early lives.

In my experience with Dalmatians, pretty much what you had at 8 weeks was a good indication of what you would have as an adult. Not so easy in whippets.

They look lovely o:) - I love Solange  if you change your mind, you could always send her to me. ;)

I still like that girl Stella

Nah - not offended at all :D I was just saying how piccy's can be decieving - seriously Alex at 4wks looked like he slid away from his withers - he didn't look like he had an ounce of potential, but when he was running around, he was like a king - he moved & stacked himself & l knew he was 'the one'.

I was just sharing a bit of knowledge with the dogs behind the puppies & what seems to be typical of the lines

Could not have been an easy decision to make Lida.

Did your 'friend' take Solange home with her? I've got an inkling of who that friend might be - but of course she hasn't said anything to me. ;) So I could be way off base. :b

Unfortunately my friend was not able to take a pup, due to change of circumstances, which will mean a move interstate in short future. So Solange is looking for home :(

well done for making your choice, I've liked your girl right from the start, good luck with her :luck:

:luck: too for Solange, I'm sure somewhere great will turn up soon :)

Totally agree Lana. With the gundogs also it is easy to pick, as you say at 8 weeks, what you see is what you get whereas with Whippies ugly ducklings can turn into swans and promising puppies not fulfil their potential.

...............and Solange is flying off to North Queensland, to Townsville to lovely home. :)

Aaaaah ....... Cristina, do you have anything to say about this? ......

Now what would I have to say about this....... 8)

Cristina

Ok ... I will just have to wait til I come up to Townsville next.

OK Lana, we won't let you pull all your hair out wondering :)

Would love to be able to say that she is coming to me but that is not the case....

Solange is going to a very lovely home here in Townsville, the gentleman was on my puppy list but as I only had two girls in the litter I could not give him a definate answer as to one being available for him due to the reason I have two show homes that want a female and asked in the meanwhile to see if I could find him a girl. I could not persude him that boys are just (if not better) as lovely to have. She arrives here today.

So no need to make that special trip to Townsville ............ :D

Cristina

So it's a pet home? You and Lida cannot talk him into showing? Wait a minute, what am I saying ... no, let him keep her at home! :teehee:
