Well kane has injured himself (not that he noticed  ) he's got a hole in the side of his chest, think he did it on a twig or something but he didn't yelp or anything,he just bounds about and runs into anything in his path (w00t) :clown: it didn't look too bad when he did it but it seems to have got bigger so off he went to the vets and the vet is going to get the dead skin off round the edge and stitch it up tomorrow morning so he has to be sedated :( :sweating:

I will update when he comes home tomorrow afternoon :huggles:

No wonder my vet can fit me in anytime££££££££££ :- "

:huggles: Kane

Hope he will be ok for his holiday, if not send him to me Lesley :p  :- "

Whippets can only cope with one thought at a time it seems. Not easy on the owners tho'. :luck:

Good luck for tomorrow :luck: :luck: :huggles: :huggles:

wishing kane a speedy recovery :luck: .

molly once did the same thing when she was younger, and was fine within a week.

Sorry Lesley, only just seen this :(

Hope all went well with the drop off this morning, and please let us know how the handsome boys is as soon as you are home. Good you spotted it, in this heat wounds deteriorate very quickly :x

Poor Kane......Oliver and Jacob send manly cuddles for a speedy recovery :luck:

Django does this all the time! Clumsy oaf!

My Vet just sutures it all there and then, even trimming up the wound. If it is very jagged she might use some local anaesthetic but otherwise just gets on with it!!!

I hate having dogs sedated, I think they feel worse than if they have had a whiff of GA

Poor Kane. (w00t)

Fast dogs with thin skin that tear easily and often. A vets dream come true

Just done this in time for his holidays hasnt he - the baffoon. :clown: Get well soon Kane :luck:

Thanks everyone, he's fine :sweating: been on pins all morning but they rang and said not only is he doing fine but he is lovely   I can pick him up at half 3

Vets says he will be ok to go on holiday Rae :sweating: and that we can take the stitches out ourself :D

I think the vet wanted sedation because the outer ring had dried with the weather being so hot so he could have a good look to make sure nothing was under the skin too Dessie I dont like sedation either has me a nervous wreck everytime but he's ok now so I'm happy :huggles:

only just saw this, sending Kane hugs :huggles: from Bean

Glad Kane is sorted and on the mend!  :huggles:
