Hi New Member

any update on Jake, is he settling in?

If you rarely are going to leave him for over 2 hours, he doesn't NEED a canine companion. It is quite possible that a second dog would join Jake in the barking and howling and only make the noise problem worse. And has already been mentioned, dogs don't always accept each other right away.

Hi everyone just an update on Jake, at the moment he is under the desk stretched out moving my feet when it suits him. He appears to have stopped his incessant howling when we go out now it is only for the first few minutes after being left. Great improvement in fact no problem. He goes to be castrated tomorrow (1 retained testicle 6yrs) and hopefully that will be the last trauma for the rest of his now thoroughly spoilt life bullying my wife and myself with his sad look and whimpering. Many thanks to all of you for your help and advice, a special thanks to Lucy Taylor who kindly sent a very helpful book. Bye for now Chris and Jake.

Thats great to hear...

and if you need any more pictures posting Id be more than happy to help...just email to me again.
