What a shame about the weather, but glad you all had a good day anyway!

I can see these regional Whippet walks becoming an international thing before long... :- "

And we were all brought together by k9!

Liz and the Monellis

Hey, that looks like a great walk  in spite of the weather. The dogs all seem to have had a great time, even Muffin

!!Rafferty

lovely pics, even though it was wet, still a great day I bet.Love walking regardless of weathers :)

That looks like a great walk, shame about the wather but the dogs look like they had a good time.

Well we are all finally home & dry. My pics are not very good but here are the best ones

That narrow bridge has a very long drop down to the reservoir on both sides. When we did this walk at new year Scrumpy wouldn't go over it & I had to carry her

Heres Scrumpy , well most of her!!!

I'm wet, I'm cold, I'm miserable & I WANT TO GO HOME!!!!

When we set out it was a slight drizzle but it got worse & worse.

Poor lad didn't really enjoy himself at all :(

Some wet soggy bodies.............and a few dogs :D

Amazing how much water one pair of gloves will soak up in 2 hours (w00t)

Happy Rafferty.

The breed standard says "hardy, spirited little dog, no sign of weakness"

Should say " wimpy little lap-dog, no sign of movement"

Glad everyone enjoyed the day, thanks for all turning up. I didn't notice the hat either Nicola. Heres to the next one.... in summer. Formby sounds good.

Julie.

Well I think you are all very brave, no way would you get me out on a day like that :- " I bet that is a fantastic walk in good weather though.

Reckon Alfie is right these regional walks could be a thing of the future.

Perhaps an all England K9 walk with hundreds of us and our dogs

(I think I am getting carried away now :b must be the large whiskey and Coke I have just consumed :D )

We'd probably all be arrested for illegal coursing (w00t)

 Rafferty's lovely - and he looks so different when he's dry!

I hung all the leads up to dry when I got in & I've just picked them up to put them back on the hooks & Rafferty gave me a look of horror (w00t) & went & got into his bed as though to say NO WAY am I going back out there

The girls pricked up their ears tho.... much hardier, these lurchers :D

Lynn-Alexandria suggested a nationwide sponsored walk, it would be great for us all to coordinate our k9 rambles  Us lot down in Bristol did one yesterday and I think we picked the better weather :- " :clown:

Well im sure the people who did the high peak walk and got frozen through, and drenched, are fully aware you had the best of the weather

You all looked to have a good day despite the weather!! I think Formby sounds like I may stand a chance of making it - it should draw quite a few more northern k9 members!!

Great photos - despite the weather. Glad you all still got together and did it. I laughed about the comments about Julie D's Ella - she is also one of the Veredon crew and sounds just like Oscar Julie  :- "
