Certain lack of pictures of Jinny lately ..............

I bought and paid for a Canon EOS 350D on 24th August (bargain, too!!!)

Chap left me positive feedback almost immediately and then I heard nothing and no camera turned up

So I sent a message on Thursday last week to find out why.

He replied on Friday afternoon and said he'd send it out on Saturday 'cos he'd been on holiday (Yeah, right. So how come he could leave me feedback on the Friday evening before???) Even worse .... did he take MY camera on holiday with him

So I asked him to send it Special Delivery (he'd charged enough postage) so I could have it on Monday.

Guess what?........... Yep, you're right. Nothing showed up.

So I just messaged him again to ask when it would come, and what a W - - - - - (that's wally, of course) he is!!!!!!!

He responds first saying I'll get it in a 'few days'

I say not good enough and ask for explanation

He says he 'had it sent yesterday' (no explanation, of course)

I repeated my question - when will it come and asked what postal service he used?

He says 'tomorrow or Thursday'

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!   He's had my money for 11 days now and I haven't got my camera

and I want to take pictures of my Jinny 'cos she's growing up fast

 OK, spleen suitably vented  Sorry to moan on but I'm just sooooooooooooo cross !!!!

 Everybody :D

Why not try and ring  the seller, I have included  the link to get their phone number:
http://cgi3.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dl...how#ContactInfo

If that does not get a result then file a complaint within 45 days of payment, by clicking on "Resolution Centre" at the top of your Paypal account.

Thanks, Jenny! I appreciate that!

I have got his phone number so that I can call him up if necessary - hopefully it won't come to that. It's all so frustrating!!!! Jane

God, I don't blame you for being upset, I'd be climbing the walls too

ive also dealt with plenty of w........ in the past with ebay, but ive only had to use the resolution centre once,as i never heard from the seller after i had paid.

hope you get your camera soon :(

If it's in your Paypal account it's as good as in your bank account all you have to do it transfer it,it wont go into your bank account until you do, go to your paypal account and double check

If someone as paid it in they will probably want the CD asap because they are probably s***ing themselves now incase they don't get it it's a lot of money :sweating:

You probably will anyway but I would send it recorded delivery so they have to sign for it that way you also get a proof of posting

Jane, please could you post the link to this seller - we're looking at buying the same camera as you have and have seen some 'good deals' on ebay! :)

Was also going to say to Jinny, if you have to send another email tell the guy this is his last chance your next one will be to Ebay, he has your money you expect your goods and you will involve the police if necessary

Thanks Lesley

Ive just done that with the pay pal. Getting the hang of this at last!!!

You should be fine as long as PayPal states that the payment has been made. The only time things can be slowed down is if the the payment has been done by EuroCheque which means that, although you will be paid, it will take time to clear. PayPal do this automatically now if the buyer does not have a credit card registered to back up his payment.

If it all checks out OK and payment is showing in your PayPal account, then go ahead and send it out! You'll then have one very happy buyer and positive feedback!!!! :D

Hi Jo

The ebayer I bought mine from was a private seller so there isn't another one.

I'm PMing you ....

J

I hope you camera comes soon Jane. :luck: :luck:

Dont want to sound like a doubting Thomas....but I avoid Ebay now....I used to buy quite a lot through paypal...and had a credit card cloned. Barclays couldnt be 100 per cent sure but they thought it had been over the internet....probably paypal or Ebay.....!!!!!!! they were on to it straight away and fortunately I didnt loose any money in this instance.

but I wont use paypal now for this reason, and am very wary when using any internet site. :(

I recentley reported a spoof email to paypal, it was a con person using paypal to ask for updated details or they would cancel my account, it rang alarm bells to me so I sent paypal the email and they confirmed it was a scam  there are some thieving b*****ds about why don't they go get a job for money like the rest of us

If someone on ebay did that to me I'd email them immediately and tell them I'm leaving negative feedback and making a complaint. That should shift them quick!

I try to send my ebay stuff out within 24 hours but I've stopped buying from ebay because of how much just goes wrong.

I'm just about to buy a Canon camera and must admit the last place I'd go is ebay.. I want the full warranty business from a shop, personal service and a chance to handle the thing and I'd also pay by credit card so the purchase if effectively insured if something goes wrong. I'd just rather pay the extra money. Just IMHO of course.

Hope your camera arrives soon... don't puppies grow so fast!
