God what a few days Ive had (w00t)

My 2 kids like to play a few gardens down from our house as they have loads of toys. Steve and Dawn have 2 little twin boys aged 5 weeks and a wee girl aged 3,,,,My 2 came screaming into the house yesterday that bee's were attacking them all. Now kids can over react,,so I went to see Steve,,,,he said a cloud of bee's just came out of the blue and attacked them all. Everyone was fine,,no stings,,,the kids thought it was kinda great

This morning,,,I got plants for the front garden,,,in they went, and I got the garden hose out to water them. They got a good soak as did the front grass, I went to the back garden and put the big sprinkler on,,made a coffee and had just sat down , then Gary came in screaming (w00t)

The bee's were in our back garden  ,,I ran to the kitchen and all I could see was bee's (well hornets ),,,I had put Ross, Colt and Gizmo into he kennel just before I put the plants in the front garden and I could see them looking at me. I ran into the garden, then became very scared so ran into the house again :(

Rachel was screaming at me to get the dogs, but I was very scared till I seen the sprinkler,,,I ran to it,,picked it up,,waving it over my head,,,I let Gizmo out his kennel,,yelled at Rachel to call him in,,Gizmo ran to the house,,I put the water over him,,then the same with Ross, but Colt got scared and went into the kennel,,,a load of coaxing him out and we both ran into the house. A few mins later they were all gone :D

I phoned the council,,they dont do bee's or hornets or wasps

The boys are staying in the house till the hornets have moved on

A wee while ago,,we seen loads of dead and dieing hornets on the road outside, Ive no idea if someone has been up to deal with them or not :b

All the kids , adult's and dogs were not stung :huggles:

The noise they made will live with me forever

That must have been terrifying! I really don't like wasps, hornets etc.. and run a mile when I see one. At least no one was stung or hurt.

OMG that sounds horrific (w00t)

Hope you're clear of them now and that they never come back

Agh, how horrible. They are supposed to be really nasty if they sting you. Wasps are bad enough! Hope they are gone for good. :luck:

Scarey........horrible things

the council are obligated to do something the problem is the time it takes them to react call a pest control contractor(NPTA reg) shouldnt cost more than about £45

thats horrible, you did the right thing with the water though, i remember watching a thing about a guy who was attacked by bees in his loft, he was put into the shower which killed most of them, i think

hope they move on soon :huggles:

How scary Susan.. (w00t) I dont mind them in ones or twos... but when they swarm (w00t) (w00t) that can be really dangerous....

omg susan

glad everyone was ok

i got stung by a hornet when i was young put me in hospital for 2 days as it was

my face

Oh blimey, I am glad you are all ok :huggles: :huggles:

Thats pretty scary stuff!

I hate wasps, don't really get hornets here which is good.

I turn really girly and run away screaming.

Glad everyone is ok

It's giving me the shivers just reading this. You reacted and coped amazingly well.

:D The hornet's are all dead :D

The bee man (Ian) has just left. There was a nest in the huge bush, next door to Steven and Dawn's house.

It was very scary, Ive never seen that many bee's/hornets in my life (w00t) and what a noise they made

Im not normaly scared of a wee bee , but in a big gang,,they are tough wee things :b

Hope this is the last of them

P.S Robbie was in the house with me, when they came into the garden :huggles:

He was never in any danger
