There are many different methods & lots of devices for doing lets say, one of the less enjoyable jobs of caring for a dog  . So which method do you swear by? From bags to complex machines you must have a preference. I'm from the school of thought that the further your nose is from the... :nuke: object the better so I use a large and very long spade. I'm also lucky in that my dog has always gone before a walk and so never had to clean up after him. I'm thinking about getting another dog though and I have a feeling I'm not going to be as lucky this time!! So what do you all think is the best thing to carry out on those long walks to clean up after your best friend?

i just use poo bags and pop them in the dog poo bins on my walks...........if i cant find a bin i bring them home to bin!

I usually talk a load of S**t, so why not dog s**t?

Talking $h!t on a Sunday afternoon.....

I buy the nappy sacks from Tesco and just pop the "parcels" in those. They get dumped in the doggy bins on our walk or brought home to bin.

I also chase owners that don't lift it and give them a bag for their dog's parcels. It drives me mad whent he kids stand in it and I have to clean them up!

(w00t) my old asda bags do the trick for me .talk about recycling

I use tesco's ecomany brand nappy sacks...

Cheap and do the job well...

I use a hazmat suit :nuke:

I buy packs of 200 doggy bags (thick and black just how I like them ;) ) for only 99p - a bargain and the best doggy bags around.

I just slip my hand inside the bag and pull the bag inside out - usually works.

The other day when we took mutts for their walk, OH was picking up poop and screamed

I was so concerned and then nearly wet myself because he had got poop under his finger nail

If OH can pick up poop...then anyone can (w00t)

OMG that's a bit athletic!

I just stoop (what an old arthritic wreck I have become) with a bagged hand and scoop!

I like purple bags (how girlie is that?) - the Co-op do them, but get biodegradable ones if I can find them.

I use poo bags from the council  , then put them in the doggy poo bin. If we are out we pick the poo's up and put them in the bin at home :D

If you do it right,,no doggy poo on your finger's,,even Rachel can pick it up no bother now and she's just turned 11

Yep, They do tend to look at me funny (can't think why... ) But it has the desired effect.

I think Keith has the best method!

I use tesco value nappy sacks - 29p for 300  I'm always a bit wary of the little holes they punch in carrier bags (w00t)

If you're worried about hand hygeine you can get little 50ml bottles of hand sanitiser in most chemists and supermarkets - pocket sized, and no rinse needed

I use medical waste bags from the NHS, they are bright blue though so not very discreet  although I think they have just changed them to black - much better
