 oh my god, 20 dogs ? I gues you don't take them for a walk.. because they will walk with you
I have two whippetgirls. If I would listen to my heart, I would like to take every 2 year a new whippet, but my brain tells me two dogs are a maximum actually. Now I can still take them everywhere with me, go on holiday with them and lots of other things. I don't think 20 dogs would fit in my car

My problem is I listen to my heart instead of my head :clown: and take in whippets who have become surplus to their previous owner's requirements. Dogs have so much fun as we have an agility course, some dogs love the contact equipment others the jumps etc. There is also a farm to walk over with all the country aromas and quarry....never a dull moment. 6 of my whippets are veterans, the eldest is 13 years of age.

I have 9 and it's hard work trying to keep them all fit as i work some times 6 days a week and upto 9hrs a day but i wouldn't be without them. :huggles:

6 Whippets

2 Greyhounds (we race)

1 Boston terrier

I only have two. I did add a third puppy a few years back now, but it didn't work out. I now plan to stick at two.

I work parttime and when I'm at home, I think....this is really easy. A third one really wouldn't be much bother. Then when I'm back at work I realise that I really am better off with just the two, what with ever increasing insurance costs to pay for, feeding costs, veterinary bills etc, having to organise holiday care, lunch time care if the OH isn't around.

Also, I love long country walks, and trying to walk three dogs by myself, getting them over stiles, away from livestock, but still give them free running. It all starts to get too complex. :sweating: Lucky people who have acres of land to exercise their dogs or a partner who is willing/keen to do their share too.

But that's just me and my circumstances and I know what I can presently cope with. I do occasionally wonder about the environmental impact of having so many dogs is...especially in such an increasingly over stretched /resource scarce world....but heck...let's not go there!! At the same time I do envy all you multi-dog households.... :- "

i only have two..would love more but i think OH would go mad...would love to have a new pup around though...im working on it :- "

Oh I'd love a Boston! Not now, but when the time is right. I've met some and completely fell in love.  Could we have pics of yours please? :)

7, 4 big ones and 3 small ones :huggles:

I have 3 dogs - 2 Whippets (Dolly and Remmy) and a Collie X (Bobby). I would love to have more whippets, but I had to work really hard on the OH to have them.

In the future, I will probably have to stick with 2 whippets unless I can persuade OH differently. I do have to agree with him :- " that 2 are easier to manage when taking them on holiday.

I know if I wasn't kept in check I would propably end up with a greyhound and some rescue whippets.

I have three - one small - one medium - one large!!

Alfie (the large) is 13+ and quite doddery now - Daisy (the small) is 10 but will live forever - tibetan spaniels do!

Blue (the medium) is just perfect!

May end up with a jr/collie/whippet cross from the village, same age as bluebell but totally out of control, but she's a cracking pup, just needs some boundrys - hope her owners decide to keep her otherwise I'll be clicking the 4 spot!!!

I have 4 now, two chihuahuas who rule us all with a rod of iron and two soppy, lovely whippie pups. We are totally smitten with them all and never have a dull moment!

i have 1..........my lovely gypsy, would love another one but at the mo its a no.................but when the kids are older will def get another, would also like a french bulldog and a dachshund..........oh and a greyhound, oh and would quite like a saluki, and maybe a boston terrier :- "

We have 11, 8 whippets 2 greyhounds and an irish setter although I work full time OH does shifts and the mother in law lives with us so someone is in all the time. The setter belongs to OH he walks her The greyhounds and a couple of whippets go together and he rest of the whippets go together. I have not included the pups as they will soon be going to their new homes only a dog pup will be staying

I have 6 (w00t) ....... which is 3 more than I ever planned

4 whippets     and my two GSD girls, one white and one black/gold

I feel really left out here  (w00t)   20 , 14, 9 dogs.    No I only have one
Plan to get another in the next couple of years

Bylaws only allow 2 dogs per household in a built up area where we live.

What a beautiful dog  He looks like he has a lovely life

I have six dogs although there are seven on my signature banner: Moggie died last year of old age and I haven't the heart to 'remove' her yet.

We didn't intend to have as many. We started with whippets (we now have three, two have gone to the Bridge), then OH wanted a working/shooting dog so Milly-lab came along and then I became addicted to iggies (w00t) :teehee:

But it will be a very long time before we get another one as our baby (Lottie-iggy) is only two and six is enough to handle by myself (I work from home).

We have only 2, Twiggy and Bridie. I am fortunate that i work for the family so they come with me and stay in my office in their cage. (Sure to get another 1 or 2 more in that cage) :- "
