Poor old Brian is a 12 year old ex-racing greyhound. He was found straying last Autumn, bone thin and in a very poor state. He spent his time in the pound, and then was lucky enough to find a new home.

Sadly Brian's new owner has now become seriously ill and Brian is once again in the Council Kennels in Portsmouth. It breaks my heart that he has had six months of being loved and cared for and is now homeless again at his age :(

Brian is now in much better condition, though his legs are quite wobbly, and has been found to be dog and cat friendly. He's a sweet natured old guy who just wants a warm comfortable place to snooze and some gentle pottering walks. There really must be someone out there with a kind heart and a space on their sofa for him.

If you know anybody who might help Brian, his full details are here:

breaks my heart :( poor old man so sad when at his time of life things like this happen! when he should be curled up on a sofa safe and warm :(

Poor old guy...thats so sad... :(

I do hope he finds that special sofa soon... :huggles: :luck: :luck: :luck:

He looks a great dog for his age too.. :huggles:

aww poor old boy, I really hope someone can give him a forever home soon :huggles:

Fingers crossed someone offers this kindly dog a loving home in the winter stage of his life. I would open my home to him but I am the other side of the World :luck:

Poor old chap, why is it greyhounds always seem to end up in trouble of one sort or another, this poor dog, left to roam, re-homed and now he is homeless again. I would fill my home with them all, very impracticle but you know what I :( mean.

Oh No - Poor old Brian it's heart breaking :( I hope someone can at the very least foster him :luck:

He looks so sweet and sad, poor baby.

Here's hoping there's a loving home out there for him soon. :luck:

If we lived back in Gosport we would have had him :( but Manchester is to far away now. But wish him all the best :huggles:

No, he hasn't got a home. There have been a couple of offers to foster, but the kennels he's in is a Council Pound (though a very caring one, they are really doing their best for him). They don't have any funding to support him in a foster home, cover vets bills etc.

I understand there are some moves going on behind the scenes to find a rescue who will give him backup so he can go into a foster home, but nothing is certain yet.

Everything crossed something is sorted out for him soon :huggles:
