im re-registering Ruby and Star as they are down as, Tan & White markings, which is wrong.

i think Ruby is "Light Fawn with white markings"

and Star "Light fawn and white Parti"

im going along the lines of the colour choices the whippet archives gives you, is this the right description for their colours and markings?

or would you class them as somthing else?

anyhelp please, wont to make sure they are down right

I would agree with you, my two are fawn and white and fawn and white parti, attached photo of them.

Yours are so cute

awa look at them together they are gorgeous

i take it its just down as parti, not parti-coloured or anything like that?

I think you have described them pretty accurately. Dinah is described as black and tan where as if you saw her would see she is black and cream.

Ruby's "fawn with white trim",& Star's a "fawn & white parti colour"

trim sounds much more posh (w00t) and its parti colour, i knew i was on the right lines just wasnt sure of the correct wording :sweating:

Yep Id say Ruby ...Fawn with White Trim....and Star..Fawn and White Parti or particoloured...

is it one word janis, particoloured?

what are your boys down as parti or particoloured?

They give you a list to choose from - I would go fawn and white trim and fawn and white particolour.

I am amazed they were registered as tan and white!! Whippets are never described as tan!!

Both your girls look like they have blue masking to me, so that makes them blue fawns as well

Fawn with white trim, blue mask and fawn particolour, blue mask

Particolour means that the dog is white with coloured patches so no need to say white particolour

i was under the impretion that blue mask ment their hole nose mount and eyes were blue, where as they are really white fading into bblue fading into fawn

its very confusing

i'd deff say they have a blue hue to their fawn

blue fawn with white trim

+

blue fawn particolour

shame the KC won't just accept "uber cute" :D

I really wouldn't worry about it too much I think the fawn and white trim/Fawn and white particolour is fine.

We just registered the girls in our litter as parti-colour, as at the time we couldn't tell if Orla was going to get any stripes or not!!

I would say Ruby and Star's markings are ......

BEAUTIFUL!

Shame you can't put that!

Poppy has a really greyish/blue muzzle and she is a fawn particolour! Sounds all posh, didn't know particolour meant white with coloured patches....

you learn something new every day!
