Hi everyone, would you buy a lifejacket for a labrador/springer/border collie puppy's first introduction to swimming? Thinking of taking her to the 'dog pond' at Hampstead Heath. She's been walked by canals and rivers but not been in water yet. Labs and springers are both supposed to be water crazy.

I didnt for Murphy but I made sure the water was shallow he had his harness on and I kept a long line on him so I could limit how far he went..as always I also wore wellies so that if needed I could go in after him..

I never did for my lab. He just decided to go in when he hit about 1 and I haven’t been able to get him out every since!
