Hi!

My partner has been breeding pekes for many years but earlier this year I actually bought my own peke dog and he is developing in to a very handsome young man!!!! :)

He has ben shown three times as puppy winning BOB-puppy each time and was BIS-4 puppy at the last one at a big open show!

He is enjoying the company of my 5 whippet bitches!!

he is lovely, his picture brought back a few memories for me,my grandmother use to own one back in the late 60s.

He's looks a real character....and very handsome! He's obviously doing well in the show ring too.

I bet he enjoys his whippet harem :D

How fascinating  - good luck with young Rollo - he is obviously doing very well so far :luck: :luck: You couldn't find a breed more different to a whippet in almost every way!!

Rolo looks a little character, hes lovely.

What a handsome chap!

My Nan had pekes for years and they are such brave little dogs with MASSIVE characters, people seem to dismiss them as just lap dogs, but they are a fabulous breed!

Our big 'scary' GSD was absolutely scared of my Nans last peke 'Cindy' - she definitley ruled the roost!

Good look with him the ring, I think he is lovely

How adorable  Any piccies of him with your whippies 2?

Hi!

Thanks for kind words about Rollo!!

I have to look through my photos to see if I can find any of Rollo with the whippet gang.

Henrik

What do the Whippets make of him??? I bet he ws a bit of a surprise at first.

He looks lovely, there is a young dark one at our ringcraft he looks black, but I know nothing about the breed so maybe you don't have blacks in them? But he is very dark in color anyway and is such a character.

Best of luck with Rollo for his many more wins in the ring.

Lovely. Grew up with a Peke - tough little thing she was.

Well he is just about the complete opposite of whippets! Would make an interesting picture with them all together.

Pekes have always fascinated me. Growing up in a small town, there were very few breed-specific books in the local library. Strangely enough, they were all about quite rare breeds in Norway at that time - the Fox Terrier, the Basset Hound, the Whippet (of course!) and the Pekinese! I rather think I ended up with the right breed for me, but I the other breeds will always be rather special to me, as well.

Rollo looks very handsome. With all those Whippet girls to keep him company, it makes you wonder what a Peke/Whippet cross would look like... :- "

Isnt he handsome Henrik  Good luck with him

(w00t) Now, that is something I would like to see! There really is no such thing as an impossible mating when it comes to dogs, is there ...

Hi!

Look for this publication: GAZEHOUNDS: THE SEARCH FOR TRUTH

Author: Constance O. Miller

If I remember correctly in this book you could see the peke/saluki puppies!

Must say sorry for my bad spelling in my last reply in this thread!!!

Hah, would love to see a piccy. Think it would be a very nice looking dog. Love Pekes. Give Rollo a scratch from Australia.

Thanks for that! I must look it up someday. Just a pity a photo cannot convey their personalities - I am sure that cross would make for some quite interesting characters ...
