Just introducing myself and my new fellas, who I pick up on 14th November.

I've been without a dog for 12 years and have finally persuded my husband that two whippet puppies would add nicely to the chaos in our house (two boys aged 12 and 13, one cat, one guinea pig, 4 fish).

Never had whippets before but have done my homework ( for 12 years lol) and had the wonderful experience of growing up with the daftest and loveliest Afghan hound ever - so I have that experience when your dog runs into the sea at one angle, comes out at another, and garottes a couple of families with the extending lead... :b

Will try to put a couple of pics on. The blue and white one is Grover, the one we chose first....the black one is Roscoe, who my 12 year old fell in love with at first sight and convinced me that Grover needed to be brought up with his brother.

Well, I'd had 12 years to decide on 'Grover' but about two nights to decide on 'Roscoe'! Roscoe is named after a song I love by Midlake, and oddly enough when I looked it up it means 'deer wood/ forest' - Grover also means 'in the trees' so was meant to be

Beautiful pair of little chaps...best of luck with them.

Welcome to k9...we all look forward to many updates as your boys grow up
